Lodger paid rent (hurrah) that's £500 in savings. I did spend £3 at work on food and drinks.

Only 5 days (and weekends don't really count as they are nice) so really there are only 2 days till payday. lol. Loads of my parcels came. I'm a happy bunny.

  • Owchy on the credit card fee! I know these things happen, but it's still annoying when it does!! My friend did something very similar only a couple of hours ago. We're meeting up for a night (away from the husbands and [her] children) and she messaged me to ask what time I'd be leaving on Sunday 13th as she'd booked her train ticket for 4.30ish. Problem is that I'd booked the travelodge for the previous weekend (and will be away on the weekend of the 13th). Fortunately she managed to speak to a very helpful customer services chap who gave her a full refund, minus the £1.50 processing fee (or idiot tax as she called it!). D'oh!!

    Lol.

I was looking forward to the weekend but it's awful out there and likely to remain distinctly blustery. Yikes. I am surrounded with piles of work but am taking tonight off and am definitely going to do a bit of cooking tomorrow. According to my bank account I haven't been paid yet.

I am going to take tonight off and chill. Happy weekend all.

Thank goodness it was payday on Monday. I've saved the rent money and put the usual towards the mortgage. Once my direct debits go out I will be v careful.

So far I have spent £40 on food at supermarket (vvv healthy food) and also £5 on taxis.

Two more months and then we have a holiday. I cannot wait. I am so fed up of work. Let's just say today was the day from hell. Thank goodness the weather is going to get better. :j

Hugs SW, I hope things have got better at work and that the 'day from hell' is but a distant memory x

Just think, nearly the long weekend - yipppppppeeeeeeee! (Not that I know what I'm going to do with myself, but just not being at school will be a treat in itself!)

Hope you have sunshine where you are today :)

I haven't decided about hols yet Kittikins. It might just be a break in the Midlands, it depends on my hours. The day from hell consisted of the observation from hell. To be honest I was just so knackered I didn't care. lol. We will see if I still have a job on Tuesday. lol.

Thank goodness for the weekend. I have a mountain of work to do but I'm going to do it slowly.

Has anyone been interested in the Barclays current account offer?

I think I will stick with NatWest now unless I get tempted by a lump sum offer ;) The Barclays deal seems good it you stay with them as I think it pays out monthly

Hope you have a lovely bank holiday weekend, the weather is meant to be nice
