Partners ex keeps pestering him

My partners ex keeps texting and calling him with the most mundane or stupid things. He has ignored most of the messages/voicemails except a couple he had to answer about the transfer of the jointly owned home that was being transferred into her sole name. When he asked for proof (via text) that the house transfer had gone through (he hadn't had anything from the solicitors in writing) she went mad and started ranting about how the money in his account should be enough proof and she wants her key back now. He ignored the rants and all seemed to go quiet. He got the proof through on email and he sent the house key back the same day. All done and dusted..... Or so we thought.
She text last week about the dog and how he caught a rabbit. It's her dog and God knows why she thought he would be interested! He ignored the voicemail again. And then on Monday this week we found out she had emailed his mums best friend. Yes you read that right his mums best friend to say how she hopes he will be happy etc.....
Gahhhhh. It's the most frustrating thing. They have been seperated over a year (they were never married, just living together), and the house transfer is all complete. She has no reason to contact him, and especially not his family or friends.
What can we do to stop this? He's such a nice guy (one of the reasons I love him) that he doesn't feel he can say anything nasty to her, but I feel that's the reason she continues as she knows she can rant/be nice/whitter on etc.... And he won't ever say anything bad to her.

I know cheepskate, and im trying to delicately tell him he needs to do something without sounding like I'm demanding it!
I just kind of want to shake the ex and ask if she has no dignity.0 -
Just ignore her? She'll get fed up eventually.0

I hope she does! I just found it very odd behaviour that she has taken to texting his mums best friend! Very odd.
The friend gave a brilliant response of 'thank you for your message and I wish you all the best in the future' hahaha0 -

You don't say how long they were together but presumably his family and friends were a big part of her life during their relationship? I know that I was still in touch with my ex's mum for over a year after we split up, obviously nowhere near as much as I had been during our relationship but I didn't stop caring about her just because I wasn't with her son anymore.0 -
I saw on the news yesterday there is a mission to Mars available - he could apply and avoid her that way?0

Or just block her phone number and ask family to do the same?0

And I understand that. But she text his mums best friend that she had met 3 times during the 10 years they were together. And the message was to s**t stir as the content was hinting at stuff she wanted the friend to tell his mum. She wrote a letter to the mum soon after they broke up, and I get that (we weren't together then), but this is our of the blue over a year later!0 -
Presumably she had a relationship with these people before you came on the scene & a long enough relationship with him to buy a home together. Just because they split up doesn't mean she isn't allowed to stay in contact with the friends & family she got on with.
Basically it annoys you that she texts him, fair enough but as long as he isn't replying she will soon get the idea & stop but you 100% don't get a say in who she contacts from his family & friends.
I suggest you stop acting like the nutty controlling new girlfriend else you might find yourself the ex & his next gf posting messages here in future about how you can't let him go.I don't respond to stupid so that's why I am ignoring you.
