It was just a confirmation that they did sell mobiles and an example of possible bargains. I don't remember the last time I was in Asda .

it seems they have merged their direct and george sites together but no technology items ( tvs etc. listed)

the last time i looked online they only showed 2 PAYG phones 1 for £50 and another at £99.99, but in stores they have a range of 30+ PAYG phones.

Seems to me that people are having their time wasted, but seem happy to go along with it...
  • Hi. Where do I get a very cheap mobile phone? I'll probably not use it very much so I guess pay as you go and I have no need for any flash features. I have a virgin mobile sim with about a quid's worth of airtime on it, but I don't know mind changing numbers or phone provider (I'm not sure if different providers are much better value than others if you don't need to use a phone much). I guess it'd be nice to able to use up my old phone's time but it is not essential even. Maybe some of the supermarkets... just wondered which is the best buy...

Don't buy from Very (who seems to just supply from directly from other companies, who they get you to contact when something is wrong instead of dealing with it themselves) I purchased a Samsung from them as recommended on MSE, they send out shoddy merchandise that doen't work and make you to call other firms some abroad, to get downloads etc which takes time and still does not work, I've had to threaten them with contacting my credit card company for a refund before they agreed to collect it.
