recommendations for a very cheap mobile please

Hi. Where do I get a very cheap mobile phone? I'll probably not use it very much so I guess pay as you go and I have no need for any flash features. I have a virgin mobile sim with about a quid's worth of airtime on it, but I don't know mind changing numbers or phone provider (I'm not sure if different providers are much better value than others if you don't need to use a phone much). I guess it'd be nice to able to use up my old phone's time but it is not essential even. Maybe some of the supermarkets... just wondered which is the best buy...

you could get a cheap PAYG like above from Tesco or take a £7/£7.50 phone contract from tesco mobile

check supermarkets as they usually have some good deals. I know asda had a Nokia the other week for £5 on vodafone
