Went into a branch today to provide the documentation they wanted to open the Advance account.
Whilst I was there they converted my E-ISA into a Loyalty ISA; and said it will be updated online from tomorrow and I'll be able to make the first payment tomorrow without any issues.
I'm very happy with the outcome and looking forward to taking advantage of the £10 pm.# 047 'Save 12K in 2019' - £6,346.86 / £12,000 55.89%# 074 'Save 12K in 2015' - £4,379.25 / £4,000 109.48%0 -
Quick update, logged into internet banking this morning ISA had been converted as promised; SO set up to transfer £25 for 12 months now I just have to sit back and enjoy.
Thanks everyone.# 047 'Save 12K in 2019' - £6,346.86 / £12,000 55.89%# 074 'Save 12K in 2015' - £4,379.25 / £4,000 109.48%0 -
Just something to be aware of and check out, I received through the post today a statement for my Loyalty Cash ISA which I opened last week at the same time as converting my current account to Advance.
The interest rate is showing as 1.40%, not 1.50%. I telephone HSBC who said that it should be 1.50% and couldn't understand why it showed the lower figure. He said they'd look at it and update it. Not sure if I've going to get any sort of confirmation of this. I don't know whether you can view your interest rate when logging in. I must try this. I told him I was concerned as I wanted to make sure I got my Save Together Bonus. It was a rather lacklustre phone call from their end.
Definitely one to keep an eye on.

Mine was the same. I put it down to the fact I opened up the ISA before my account had been upgraded, and you get an "opening statement", which of course means it would have been on the lower rate as your Advance account wasn't upgraded until overnight.0 -

My ISA was actually opened on the same day that I upgraded 5th March. My statement is dated the 5th so that makes sense. However, hubbies was opened on the 6th and his is showing as 1.40%.
I've logged in but the rate is not showing on the account.

You have to be advance to get the 10 per month and 1.50 -
If the letter was generated before the advance upgrade was registered then it will print 1.4%.
If it was generated after the advance upgrade was registered then it will print 1.5%.
If in doubt just call them up. The difference is buttons anyway.0 -
Quite tempted by this offer but don't have any HSBC products at the moment. I use a First Direct 1st Account as my main current account - anyone know if I could transfer £1750 from it to an HSBC Advance or would they consider that to be a transfer from another HSBC account?
I could obviously transfer First Direct to one of my other current accounts to HSBC Advance but would rather not have the hassle if it's not necessary...2018 wins: Aspinal of London jewellery box, Boudavida gym outfit, HP Pavilion laptop, The List party tickets, All Points East festival tickets, Kiehls moisturiser, By Terry cc serum, Nars Liquid Bronzer, Benefit highlighter, Nars illuminator, Fresh advanced lip trio set, Cetaphil sample set, signed copy of My Absolute Darling by Gabriel Tallent0
