I have filled my 2014/2015 ISA allowance already, is there a way to start this offer or I have to wait for the 6th of April?

Tried to transfer £25 into my ISA but HSBC doesn't let me :(

If you have a joint account then enjoy your 2x tenners/month!

Can you have a joint hsbc advance account with an ISA? Or you meant a partner with a personal hsbc advance account?

From previous posts, it appears you can start in on April 6 assuming the product is still available then.

Quite tempted by this offer but don't have any HSBC products at the moment. I use a First Direct 1st Account as my main current account - anyone know if I could transfer £1750 from it to an HSBC Advance or would they consider that to be a transfer from another HSBC account?

I could obviously transfer First Direct to one of my other current accounts to HSBC Advance but would rather not have the hassle if it's not necessary...

Yes you can, and no it wouldn't :)

    £120 + 1.5% for depositing £300.

    Seems like a cracking deal

Seems too good to be true. I'm going to try and open an Advance account in the next week, I hope it's not as difficult as another poster hinted it was.

I'm still waiting for my debit card & pin from HSBC three weeks after being accepted, phoned CS who said they'd send out a security code, nothing 5 days later.

Even Yorkshire bank were more efficient than this.

I had no debit card from HSBC ever for three years after I first opened an account with them. I did initially ask them a couple of times to send me a debit card but eventually did give up as all I was interested in was their regular savings account and that didn't need a debit card.

When I upgraded to HSBC Advance (to get better interest on the regular savings account), I was sent a debit card almost instantly.

Goodness only knows what makes HSBC tick. I suppose you could register a complaint if they keep not sending a debit card to you (assuming a card it important).

Check the documentation as I think it says they give you a bung if you don't get the card within 7 days of the account opening.
