I have transferred £300 today from my Advance account to my Loyalty cash ISA.
Is this all I need to do to trigger the bonus or should I have applied somewhere first for the Save Together bonus ?0 -
OK so my ISA transferred already. I am impressed.
- Sent ISA Transfer Form off on 26/02
- Recieved confirmation from old ISA provider 02/03
- ISA money appears in new provider 04/03
I phoned HSBC, asked to be upgraded. I will be sent a new debit card in 7 working days. My account will take 24-48 hours to go through. I will then be on the preferred rate.
I was then told if I put in £25/month or £300 I would then get the Save Together rate, but only when my account has been upgraded. So I will wait until my account name shows advance (adviser said should be done by tomorrow though), then top up by £300.0 -
I applied for the current account over the phone last week then opened the ISA on March 1.
Both have ADV in the title:
- GR HSBC ADV
- LOY ISA ADV0 -
Well, I phoned the HSBC and asked if I could upgrade to my account straight away without waiting to 9th April. I phoned on Tuesday, today when I log in it has been done.
I have opened two Loyalty ISAs, one for me and one for my husband and deposited £25 in each. Both are now showing online.
According to the HSBC, that is all you have to do. Now deposit £25 each month and wait for the bonus.
Happy days.

I could not upgrade it to the advance as I did not have my salary paid into the account. The person on the phone said to transfer my salary first and then they may upgrade the account.
Is it what other have experienced? Is there people you did not pay their salary and had their account upgraded whithout any problem
Thanks0 -
I applied for an advance account over the phone. Said I would pay in my 'salary' after it opened and move DDs, etc after I had run it for a few months and they said no problem and opened it there and then.
I previously only had a mortgage with them.0 -

I don't have salary paid into my HSBC bank account (though I do have more than the £1750 going in to the account most months) and a few days ago they sent me the information pack telling me they will be transferring my HSBC bank account over to the Advance account on the 9th April for me.Never let the perfume of the premium overpower the odour of the risk0 -
I've used up 14>.15 allowance and am looking at 15>16 isas::.aren't you having 2 isas ? hsbc £300, and S&S, ?(whats is S&S) ??is it monthly HSBC saver isa?
S&S > Stocks and Shares Isa
Yes it's allowed as you are allowed to split your ISA allowance between a Cash Isa and a S&S Isa.
I will also probably be doing the same as colsten (once they have upgraded me to the Advance account after 9th April):I'll put £300 into the HSBC cash ISA myself on April 6th, and my remaining £14,940 into my S&S ISA on the same day. Once I have got the 120 from HSBC in April 2016, I'll transfer that ISA into my S&S ISA - unless HSBC make me another irresistable offer at the time.Never let the perfume of the premium overpower the odour of the risk0 -
Is it possible to open the ISA now without deposit until next financial year?
When open the new Advance account, do they require you to switch?0
