"It was the free trial so I have cancelled that."
You will /would not be charged until the 30 days trial's expiry and have the option to cancel anytime within the 30 days.
It's not such a major drama is it? Certainly not "shifty".
So take a bit of responsibility for your own error.:)0 -
Two free trials and two join and charged for one month recently . Both the non free trials cancelled within 14 days and money refunded .0

I started a trial on Xmas day, so I know I have until 24th January to cancel Prime.
It's not difficult to understand.0 -
Slightly off topic. I'm a Prime member, very happy with everything that it offers, well worth the money, etc.
Checking credit card statement this week, an amount of £79 appears from Amazon. Speaking with Amazon it is for "Amazon Unlimited" which is their new enhanced music streaming service. They cancelled my membership for Unlimited no questions asked and I realise I must have done something in-app when selecting music.
Point being, it did not seem very clear that by clicking on an album I'd automatically join the Unlimited service. Bear in mind, as a Prime customer I already get access to their music streaming service, just not as big a catalogue of music as the unlimited service.
So not blaming Amazon, I obviously clicked something, but I never got an email or confirmation or a "are you sure" prompt, so could be very easy to subscribe to both Prime and Unlimited without knowing about it and clock up 2x £79 (as Prime and Unlimited are priced the same).Anger ruins joy, it steals the goodness of my mind. Forces me to say terrible things. Overcoming anger brings peace of mind, a mind without regret. If I overcome anger, I will be delightful and loved by everyone.0 -
Having read Amazon Prime and how to cancel email, my problem is that Prime has taken the £79 from my bank account when my son used our debit card with permission, to get something for my wife, How do I get that membership0 cancelled please? Any Prime membership does not appear on my Amazon account...
Many thanks

So it'll probably appear on your son's Amazon account? Get HIM to cancel it and the money refunded to your card.0

Sadly he does not have an Amazon account BUT the delightful Amazon has realised it was a !!!! up and assure him that a refund will be made in a few days
Thanks all

I have had a payment of Amazon Prime £7.99 come out of my account on 30th March. I have not purchased anything since 5th Jan and that was standard delivery, and my account does not show that I am prime member. There has been nowhere that I have signed up for this at all.
Is there anything I can do?MFW 16 No 33
