My LR is still upside down but I am further forward. However, I moved the furniture round and it doesn't go so I've had to move it back. It did mean I cleaned all behind the display cabinet and hoovered though.

Hello all :). I have been out today. I never got on here last night as I was ironing until 9:30. But I got it all done. I found both kids floors and cleaned lots upstairs :).
We've been out geocaching on the Mendips today and it was beautiful but muddy! Dogs were so tired that they slept for hours since we got home. Good for them :).
Lots of folding stuff to do today and tomorrow and will then plough on with my lists tomorrow and Friday.

Another fail today I'm afraid, woke up yesterday with my vertigo and I thought it would go away today.. Nope!! It got worse... So I have spent the best part of today lurching from the sofa to the kitchen for drinks and food.. Tried to do the hoovering this evening but had to give that up as it made me feel really queasy.. Ironing was interesting I spent most of that hanging onto the ironing board..lol

Dh did cook dinner, after I had prepared it and was almost ready to put it on when he got in. Apart from that he has not done anything else to help me..he even watched me do the ironing.. What is that about, why can't he offer to do that for me when he knows how bad I get with my vertigo.

Good news is I know what sometimes brings it on - coughing violently at night..lol

Dusty, I wanted to offer hugs earlier but forgot. So sorry honey. Hope you are bearing up okay during all this stuff with your mum.

Piggers I hope you are feeling a bit better today, if not then have made an appointment for your Drs. :D

Off to bed to hopefully sleep this off..tomorrow shall try again. :D

Oh natty. That sounds awful. Men can be so unthought ful sometimes!

Had a nice day with the family. 5 hours at a country park. Spent 3 hours geocaching. We saw lots of robins and bluetits. We even saw a bank vole! They were so cute. It was about a metre away and we watched them for ages, munching on some seed and hiding in the undergrowth. A very knowledgable man was filling us in on the differences between mice and voles! I love Waking through the nature reserve as most times we bump into someone who imparts knowledge on us. I think it is so important for the kiddies to hear it all.

Then we had a picnic by the river and walked back to the busy area of the park and did some free arts and crafts and then did a nature trail. A full day out for the grand sum of £1 (50p each for the nature trail)

I went for a run tonight and by the time I had showered and had dinner it was 9pm. So I didn't do the ironing! It will keep!

    Hiya everyone

Loved all the talk abut families. Both my and DH parents have passed over, as did my only brother many years ago. DH has two sisters, both of which we never see and occasionally we hear from one.

Judi - loved the letter. I managed most of it as I am used to adult literacy learners and foreign students :rotfl:

Natty and Pigpen - GWS vibes flying your way. Wish I could help more

The only decision I've made at the moment is about reference books like films guides - they are going as I just use the internet for info now .....
    Wish me luck!!!!
Good luck and thanks for the thoughts. Problem is I do actually use lots of them and still delve into most - going to have to get real though and attack them soon :o

If it's gone I've done it or don't have one
Monday ~ Kitchen and Dining Mess
Oven cleaning week... and it is level one so none of you can get out of it..
Wipe table - needs a good clean and polish

De-cluttered the final two drawers in our bedroom today so just the hanging rails left to do now. Didn't have time today as had to go and do some paid stuff. Might tackle tomorrow but is going to need time to try things on and decide :)

((hugs)) for all and sticks and spoons for those needing extra

Hope you all have a thrilling Thursday

Coo; I started my teaching 'career' as a volunteer in adult literacy in the 1980s and progressed from there - although whether it is a progression is anyone's guess!

    Morning all

Narco - I used to do adult literacy in the 1990s!

I need to finish the LR today so that will be my main priority. I did do the bed and hoovered and dusted the hall yesterday so that's a start on today's list. Recycling day today which is good as I've filled 4 carrier bags with paper so far and 2 bags with shredding. I think the bank will have to wait until tomorrow although if DD gets her BR sorted today then we may go out for the day tomorrow.

    Have a good day all

    Hugs

Last day of the week here for me as DH is having tomorrow off work so I'm going to be having a bit of a pre weekend round up today with a general tidy round everywhere and a bit of ironing to clear the basket.
DD2 should be round tomorrow afternoon and in the morning we want to nip over my dads with his birthday pressie
Got a biggish box of stuff set aside for the Cs so hoping to pop that in on the way by at some point.

What's the best way to clean ornaments? I have a collection of pocket dragons which are pretty dusty. I did wonder whether to use the compressed air that I use for cleaning the keyboard - I don't know whether that would work. LW how do you clean your dragons?

Yay yinyoga was on despite half term.

JJ no idea what pocket dragons are but I rinse my ornaments or would blast with a hairdryer (outside or before dusting the rest of the room).

I've just put the washing on the line but it is very dark so I need to keep a close eye on it, HH in the breeze would be good though.

Going to do an hour's flying before lunch now.
