Dusty - pocket dragons are the little green dragons often seen in Samuel's windows.
Both of the kids want dropping off at various places so I may as well get the banking done while I'm out.NST #10 Steps 7K 2/30 10K 2/12 5 a day 3/30 NSD 0/20

Just back from post office, the coat I got sent had a security tag on so rag for advice thinking I could nip in local store with letter and they'd take it off for me. No not allowed to do that it has to go back to the depot to be removed then sent back to me. I will get the postage refunded and while down there nipped in the shoe shop and got my dad a lovely wallet for his birthday so not a wasted afternoon.
next did that with Tiddles coat. I didn't ask permission I just took it into the store with the despatch note and they whipped it off.
I used a long bristle soft paintbrush for dusting fiddly things
I spent yesterday in bed.. all of it.. I appear to have slept for 3 days, I'm starting to think I have CFS.. I cannot stay awake, I cant eat or drink or do anything.. but there isn't anything I can actualy say 'this' is wrong.. I'm dizzy and a bit queasy and either boiling or freezing there is no middle ground.

Hi everyone,
Day off here so naturally I've been pottering. Popped to the shops after dropping kiddies at club, got myself some bits I've been meaning to sort for a while:
New dish drainer and utensil holder
New microfibre cloths
2 of the new SW meals from Ic3land
A new coat for DS
New jeggings for me - my nice ones are a but faded now
Some flavoured teas and coffees
Chocolate - promised the kiddies we'd make lollies tomorrow
I'm being very good and getting rid of the old drainer (thought I might keep it for when we have guests and lots of washing up lol then had a stern word with myself) and the grotty cloths I've replaced.
Also done WM x2, emptied DW, collected some clean laundry and folded, tidied round everywhere (not too bad, we've not really been here much this week!), got the kids a change of clothes out (they were both grubby last night, covered in baking bits and pen, lol, club must be good fun!)
Speaking of families I'm trying not to be irritated with my mum. She's got this baby and just called to complain she'd taken him for contact with the mother who hadn't shown up. She was cross saying the baby had a cold and she really hadn't wanted to take him out in this bad weather, then said she's going to my aunts this afternoon (family half term get together). Gah! Is he poorly or isn't he? And breathe. Lol.
So this afternoon I'm going to clean some bathrooms. Deep joy. LolBossymoo

What's the best way to clean ornaments? I have a collection of pocket dragons which are pretty dusty. I did wonder whether to use the compressed air that I use for cleaning the keyboard - I don't know whether that would work. LW how do you clean your dragons?
I use a paintbrush on anything small, fiddly and irritating. (Mostly I try to work out how to get the small, fiddly and irritating things out of the house via the bin or CS. Quite a few things fitting that description have been in the loft for a decade and will probably stay there for another.)I spent yesterday in bed.. all of it.. Sounds like a plan. You are probably quite seriously dehydrated.
My new purple microfibre cloths from Wilk0's colour ran like mad. All new, all destined for seriously mucky one-use-only jobs in the future. More so**ing clutter in the so**ing cleaning cupboard.
I spent most of yesterday working on my RoD and finally managed to get a decision via OH out of R who is coming to stay next week, one night only. He loves sleeping on the futon in my office but it means a serious spring clean and I just don't know that I've got the energy or time. The lovely man asked which was easier for me, my office or the superking, so I told him. I may surprise him yet.
It took nearly three hours just to clear the decks this morning - emptying the dishwasher, folding and putting away laundry, clearing up, tidying and dealing with the leftover straggling detritus from yesterday's marathon RoD session. No wonder I don't make much progress on longer term projects.Better is good enough.0 -
I am tipping fluids down when I am awake.. trying flavoured teas today.. so far I have experience hobo sock wash and putrid bile with a hint of disinfectant.. not having much luck lol. I thought the headache might be dehydration which is why I'm trying to drink lots, eating is meh.. I can live off lard for a month or 2 it is fluids we need.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0

I have folded the washing. There was flipping loads of it! Must have been 8 loads I washed the other day, the ironing pile was 3 ft high and about 2x1 ft wide! 57, yes 57 pairs of socks have been folded and put away.
I have decluttered and eaten an entire packet of fake hobnobs. Bathroom finally cleaned along with mirrors and upstairs windows.
DS3's bed linen washed.
Just having a cuppa and then DS3 and I are dropping stuff at the scrap store and CS shop and visiting the DIY store and cricket store, all in the pouring rain. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Another fail today I'm afraid, woke up yesterday with my vertigo and I thought it would go away today.. Nope!! It got worse... So I have spent the best part of today lurching from the sofa to the kitchen for drinks and food.. Tried to do the hoovering this evening but had to give that up as it made me feel really queasy.. Ironing was interesting I spent most of that hanging onto the ironing board..lol
Dh did cook dinner, after I had prepared it and was almost ready to put it on when he got in. Apart from that he has not done anything else to help me..he even watched me do the ironing.. What is that about, why can't he offer to do that for me when he knows how bad I get with my vertigo.
Good news is I know what sometimes brings it on - coughing violently at night..lol
Dusty, I wanted to offer hugs earlier but forgot. So sorry honey. Hope you are bearing up okay during all this stuff with your mum.
Piggers I hope you are feeling a bit better today, if not then have made an appointment for your Drs.
Off to bed to hopefully sleep this off..tomorrow shall try again.
Mr LW does the ironing here in any case, but in your situation, I'd have said straight out "I don't feel well enough to iron, please will you do it?" Sometimes the task can be staring a bloke in the face and he won't see it; Mr LW's the same, can't see what's in front of his nose at times, but as soon as I say it's in need of doing, he's onto it.:AWhat's the best way to clean ornaments? Off to declutter a walk with Button now.;)If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
OH kind of vacuumed and DD2 is gutting the kitchen.. his parents left and I am absolutely beyond tired, I didn't even get out of my chair other than to walk 4 steps to pick something up and walked back again.
DD2 used my being ill and needing her here to sack off a trip with college she didn't want to go on anyway.. glad I have my uses!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0
