Didn't get back until last yesterday but gad a great day at the beach. We found a few geocaches, went walking in the dunes and decluttered some time and money in the arcades. We took our own lunch but had a cake in the cafe and shared some chips on a bench looking over the sea. When I got back I tidied the living room and hoovered and mopped the kitchen floor. So just need to hoover living room today!
Here is my list...
Hoover living room
Declutted and Hoover stairs
Declutter hallway
Wednesday ~ Master bedroom
Strip, wash and replace the bedding.. leave the mattress and duvet to air!
Declutter the floor.. and vacuum it!
Put away all the shoes and clothes and bags and belts and ties lying around!!
Dust away the webs and fluff
Tidy up a cupboard of clothing
Don't forget to do your decluttering for today - you choose where

Decluttering done. Why have I kept many dispostable slings/arm supports from the various broken arms my kids have had? That is taking it maybe useful too far. Three half used products applied which had been stashed in a box to see if i want to finish them of or bin them.
Going to dry my hairthen put the washing on the line.

Dusty mil can be quite abrupt and rude to receptionists and staff at Drs and hospital, I sometime feel that I follow her round apologising so maybe that's why my Drs was so keen to have me involved to act as a buffer between mil and them.
Postie just bought me a lovely new coat, I'm testing it for tesc0 it fits beautifully and is lovely and warm.
Had a bit of a floordrobe blitz and just grabbing a coffeeSPC~12 ot 124

Morning
Aww dusty I think parents get to a certain age and then they become like children xxx
I'm not looking forward to that stage as in addition to my own parents I also have my stepdad (who is fabulous) who has not children of his own and of course I've inherited my inlaws now who have little other family. I draw the line at my "stepmum" whom I haven't seen or spoken to since DH funeral, she never visits with my dad, and even waited outside in the car once while he visited when he couldn't drive (perhaps she is gaga already? No idea what that is about). She can look after herself! 5 "parents" is enough to be going on with...
Anyway, enough of my interesting family set up lol. I'm WFH today, and I managed to get the kids to playscheme by 8 despite DS struggling to get out of bed, then went to Mr M and still got home in time for work :T
The shopping is all over the kitchen though <oops> but I have shoved some pork in the slowcooker for tonight. Plan is to pick the littlies up at 4.30 and dash to DD swimming, then home for supper. I will need to take some snacks I think for swimming.
I was all tidy till they came home at 3 yesterday, lol.
We've been told this morning is for development time. I'm currently watching a video about SQL server (honest) oh the life I do lead :rotfl: sadly I'm finding it very interesting :rotfl:
OK, I'm off to write my 2015 development planBossymoo

I think medical staff are used to "rude older lady syndrome"
I remember taking my gran to a hospital appointment for her heart and when the consultant asked to see her again she told him she had no-one to bring her and it really was inconvenient getting the access bus lolol, I was at there with my car keys on my lap.
He winked at me and said "who exactly is this, then?" (Meaning me) bless her she didn't speak again for at least half an hour she was so ashamed.Bossymoo

Morning!Froddington - the books are where I'm going to struggle to declutter. Do you have any suggestions ?
The only decision I've made at the moment is about reference books like films guides - they are going as I just use the internet for info now.
With other books, I think it's going to be:
1. Am I really going to read it again?
2. Is it part of a set / collection by one author?
3. Is it a special edition or signed copy?
If answer to all is 'no', then out it goes!!

Bossy your parental set up sounds like mine -I have mil, my mum, dad and step mum, and recently have been back in contact with my youngest brothers dad who my mum lived with when I was a teenager.
I say youngest brother, he may as well be my only brother as my older one and me haven't spoken for years, not sure why but something must gave happened as he suddenly started blanking me and I no longer get cards or invites to anything from him. I asked my sister if I'd done something ghastly like putting the wrong wives name on a Christmas card, ( he's been married 3 times) but she said she doesn't want to get involved as he's still on good terms with her. Guessing that means she knows what I'm supposed to have done. Anyway I'm now if the opinion that life is too short to care, I haven't done whatever it is deliberately and if I knew I would have apologised so I've given up loosing sleep over that one. 1 sister, younger brother, two step sisters and a half bro from dad and step mum is more than enough siblings for me(specially at Christmas)SPC~12 ot 124

It's complicated isn't it? My mum remarried when I was 16; my (now late) stepfather, a widower, had 8 children all older than me. Current hassle which I'm stuck in the middle of, is one step brother is very keen on genealogy and has recently asked about my mother's family, wanting to put "us" on his family tree in ancestry.co.uk. Fine by me and my brother, but mum had a very unhappy first marriage and wants no information which could link, or cause her to be traced, by my father's side of the family. She is somewhat naive about what info can be obtained from the internet. While I have made matters clear to my stepbrother, he has already found info which given the choice, mum would not want him to have - but it's publicly available so he is not at fault. Mum keeps ringing me asking what he knows and why he wants to know (genealogy is a hobby; we are part of his family!). Very difficult. Bit concerned as mum has to wear a heart monitor for the next 5 days, and I don't want her stressing about this family info which will make any results seem more severe.
At uni now, seen 1 student and about to write up Monday's private work before my next one. Hopefully I can be home early enough to do a bit more in the garden as the weather is lovely after a frosty start.
Although I haven't kept count, I'm pretty sure I have exceeded the 'getting rid of one item each day this year' so I'm pretty chuffed.
Happy flying everyone.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0
