DFB35 Diary

Hi DFB35, just found your diary and spent the morning reading, you are so motivated and doing so well.
Gerbils are soooooooo cute and your little boy will get so much enjoyment from them, we are also a animal household (pony, chickens, dogs, guinea pigs, hamster) so understand it can be hard work looking after them as well as expensive, but the joy they bring is certainly worth it.
I've subscribed and will keep reading, take care.0 -
Hi pennywise :hello:
Poor you having to read that from start to finish haha I'm afraid my "writing style" is very haphazard to say the least :rotfl: but welcome on board, I will have a nosy in your diary (if you have one) in a bit ..
Yes we love animals, daugther would love a pony! But not enough space and too much work, so she goes horse riding most weeks instead. We also have fish and two guinea pigs - who are running free range in the shed. And now these two latest additions to the family..
Speak soon x0 -
I wanted to give a little update on my nan.. I don't know if people might find it upsetting?
I wrote a long message but changed my mind about posting, she hasn't got long now, we think 1-2 weeks. I'm feeling numb as don't want to start mourning her while she is still here at the moment.
I feel that I can't really talk about it as it is too "heavy"0 -
I am sorry to hear about your nan.. Hugs xxLBM 1st Feb 2015 £18182 to go

Thank you guys, taking it one day at the time at the moment x
Back to work today and no more annual leave until August
My mood has really dropped this morning, dont get me wrong my job is not that bad and pays very well but I feel like I really want something different, felt like this for years to be honest! I want something with more family life balance and I feel that I will be better suited in a caring type job..
But debt needs to be paid off first. If I ever do take the plunge our income will be cut dramatically.. therefore.. I need to give myself a "pay cut" now and pay off debts faster! I really do.. we still do spend too much as we are so used to a higher income.
Lets get debt busting :money:0 -
Im having a much more positive day today
In MSE news we have managed to get our house buildings & contents insurance down from £28 to £21 pounds - not a huge drop (would have been £19 but we added emergency cover) but every £ counts and its closer to £20 than it is to £30
I have been paid now and am itching to make over payments, however being very cautious as I might need to fly out of the country (in case of my nan) and due to very expensive spends already this month I dont want to leave myself short.
As as I have learned from my past months, it makes me very down and miserable towards the end of the month...
But im not giving up, I will see how much money I have left and still hoping that I will make another overpayment! Also if I get any more ebay money I will be putting it towards it. Things that are due to end on Sunday have £3.96 bid on them so far hahaha! REally scraping the ebay barrel now :rotfl:0 -
Can you make your 'normal' OPs into a separate account, so that you still feel you're making progress, but so that it's accessible if you need to book to go and see your nan? XxLBM 1st Feb 2015 £18182 to go

I don't want to give up on another overpayment but because of the high spends on the suits for the wedding and money put away in savings it might not be possible.
However, I have been thinking about it and actually an amazing thing is that we are not adding to the debt! I have already made £100 overpayment this month and Im planning ahead and have some savings put away.
The not adding more to the debt bit is a very important achievement, whilst it's easy to feel disheartened about not making as big overpayment as I have last month i mustn't forget about the first thing. Not aquiring anymore debt since August 2014 :T:T
That has really cheered me up and I will remember this when I have months like this0 -

This is the important bit! Not adding to the debt means that you've cracked the overspending, which is a Major Achievement! :T
