Errrrrrr...l the final chapter of my "clothe myself from ebay paying few quid for good quality branded items" lol!
The Barbour jacket I received, fits but it's a bit grimy and not really flattering, I will wash it of course and I think I will wear it. But disappointed.
Anyways... Hoody!!! Omg it's fit for the bin only! And looked so nice in pictures however when it came it's a completely different colour, with a rip in the pocket and broken bit on zip, plus grimy again... I really would be embarrassed to post it if it was me!
I have contacted the seller but they insist that the rip wasn't there.. I haven't left feedback yet.. There was another hoody sold by this seller so I will wait to see if they have the same problem. I'm definitely not overreacting and a bit upset as I'm not a confrontational person so really don't want to leave bad feedback or raise a dispute0 -
Oh DFB not such a good situation with the eBay clothing, I would have to complain out of principal. Did you pay a lot for it? Even so its been falsely advertised xxMummytogirls x0

Last month I made £610 over payment to my credit card (old loan 1) :j :j :j however this also included OHs bonus.
I have also managed to save some money to put away for emergencies and we did have a few treats although are very skint now - the ebay money that I made has been put into savings :money:
And purchased lots of gifts for my DS birthday with the vouchers so it only cost me £3.27 to buy £66.27 worth of toys
I thought I will write this down to cheer myself up as was feeling a bit low after my hoodie disappointment and felt like a spending spree coming on arghhhh
Plans for the upcoming pay day (tomorrow!) it might be a spendy one.. I want to pay my house insurance yearly (about £130 - £190 - Im still trying to find the best deal - well I say "I" but I actually have delegated it to hubby)
We as a family need to get outfits for a wedding - I will see if I can get away with a dress I already have (I have one in mind I wore it to a different wedding a few years back)
Hubby 100% needs a new suit and ditto DS (although just a shirt for him as I think school trousers will be ok? In any case new shoes - which he can wear to school after).
DD - needs a new outfit which willl be a job and a half to find - ie trying to find a dress that she will be happy with = awkward teenager!
What else..hmm... will need to put a further 200 or so in savings (in case of my nan however she is still holding on bless her)
and I might get a new hoody and a tshirt if I dont buy a new dress for the wedding (I think thats fair?)
Therefore I will try to hold of overpayments until we know how much all of the above cost - Im afraid its not going to be a very MSE monthbut I will see what I can do!!

Spending spree urge update - I popped in to primark yesterday and got myself absolutely lovely soft hoodie, a top and work shoes = 14.50 (this is money i had left over in my account).

This feels amazing, also we have not ADDED to our debt which was most important.
Still a long way to go and I do battle with "spendy" thoughts and "I need a holiday" thoughts - but what I have noticed that these are becoming less frequent and when I get them I learned to distract myself better and pay off debt instead.
Keep going :money:0 -

Lovely BH weekend and some time off
I'm enjoying my weekend so far, not been very busy, in fact last week at work was ok too (apart from presentation stress, it's still not clear if I would have to do it as my boss kinda forgot about it for now lol).
Family round today and as its such a nice weather will do some pottering in the garden! I washed my Barbour jacket I got on eBay and very happy with that - it came out nice and as they over £100 quid brand new and I got it for £5 I'm v happy. Also washed the two tops I got, one doesn't fit me so DD having that. The other too big - I should ebay it really! But will check if my sister wants it first (it might fit her better as she got bigger boobs lol).
Will update how my ebay sales doing, I'm up to £9.96 lol! But it's money I wouldn't otherwise had
Wedding shopping tomorrow, will be spendy but hopefully not too bad. I'm getting DD to reuse one if her dresses if it fits and same for me.. So hope to make a saving there, if it goes to plan things left to buy are:
Suit for husband, not too expensive probably M&S
Shirt and tie for hubby - he wants the tie to match my dress aww
Shirt for DS
Shoes for DS and DD and these will be reused as school shoes..
And depending how much we spend would be nice to have lunch/ dinner in town
I have tuesday and Wednesday off with the kids, have a friend round on Wednesday otherwise no plans. Just nice chilled MSE family time0 -
Ummmm.... My ebay sales are up to £41.31!!! :j :j :j
One of DDs old dresses went for £20! But then nearly brand new shoes for 0.99p swings and round abouts but yeah chuffed
Have quite a few more things all finishing late tonight, will let you know exact total tomorrow.
My family that came for Sunday lunch brough bottle of wine but were driving so I'm sat here drinking most of it (hubby don't drink) = RESULT
Hope everyone is having a great evening Xx0 -
