Hello stepup - had to look for you! You fooled me with your zero threads started
I am loving all the tilly tidies and extra payments. 3.5% is brilliant!! And I love your OCD about tidying up... Did you take £1 from each account?
I know the one about groceries. I got YNAB and when I became accountable to something I paid for, I tried very very hard not to go over budget. Turns out I now spend about £250 less a month just by being accountable!
Anyway will subscribe and cheer you on!! xx

Hurrah you've found me!!
I am definitely OCDabout seeing those round numbers, somehow it's very motivating. Now all I need to do is find the 'something' that makes me as motivated to lose some weight ...:o :rotfl:

Today's OP is £4.76 to CC1. Paid in the chq, so waiting for that to clear. I'm debating opening a separate account for my tax account, what do people think? My ISA isn't online, and I really want a savings a/c that is.. Is it worth opening another current a/c and using that? Will do some research..LBM 1st Feb 2015 £18182 to go

I think it would be a lot easier for you to manage your savings if you have online access, only you know if you're disaplined enough to leave the money in the account and only use it for your tax. Do any of your existing accounts have an online savings account attached, two of mine do, if so could you use that.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

You've hit the nail on the head, BB.. Once it's in the ISA I can't get at it without going into a branch, which would probably be a good thing with the money for mr tax man!
Payday from the business today :j there's enough to OP £200 off CC1!!! The rest is going to my tax account, and savings. Then the next time I get paid from my job (mid month) I'll skim off from the savings again. I think I'll leave my savings at £500 - enough of a buffer to be useful but not so much that it'd be better spent paying off the CC. Once I get chance to update my spreadsheet I'll update my signature. Can't wait!!LBM 1st Feb 2015 £18182 to go

Hoorah for payday!! Mine too
I would say online access has its perks and downfalls. Have you got the wherewithal to move the money IN to the account online. If so i would say leave it where it is and then you can pay into there easily but not get at it easily
Lovely big OP today, well done you!! xx

Fab news on the overpayment! Well done
500 emergency savings sounds like a good amount to me, keep going stepuptotheplate0 -
Well done on all the payments so far Stepup.
I like having the online savings as I can easily move money around to where it is needed. I am quite strict with what my savings is spent on though so it works for me and I like seeing the figures increase!!
Good luck with it all and keep chipping away, it will be gone in no time!January 2015 - LBM

Thanks everyone, the support means a lot
I need to check about paying into the ISA online; I do a standing order in there monthly for Christmas savings, but there isn't an obvious way to do random amounts - although I could of course just increase the SO. I'll investigate
