  • Today's OP: £6.41

Bit of a spendy day today. DD wanted to go into town and spend her Christmas vouchers, so we did. Had a lovely lunch, and then pootled round the shops. I picked up lots in B00ts and used my advantage points so didn't have to spend anything :T Used a credit voucher in Marks n sparks to get some undies for me (well overdue! :o) so really the only thing not budgeted for was lunch. Not too bad; I'll file that under the 'could do better' section!

Back to work tmrw.. Must take lunch with me to compensate for the spendy lunch today :D

Hope everyone is ok out there. Think we all need some sun, and some good things to happen. x

  • quick question for you.. I've got my new 0% for 12 months card, and transferred £2000 onto it from one of my other cards. At the end of the 12 months it will revert to 18.9%. The CC1 in my signature is also at 18.9%. So, do I pay off the 0% card in the 12 months, even though it's at 0% now - or do I do the snowball properly, and do minimum payments, so that I can keep overpay CC1 - until the 12 months is up and then change to overpaying both as quickly as possible?

Today's OP is a Tilly Tidy of £7.93; yesterday's was £8.59. I've made a graph on my spreadsheet and it's very gratifying to see the gradient change now that I'm concentrating on CC1!!

  • I would snowball properly and throw everything you can at it and only pay the minimum payments at the 0% card. How much have you budgeted paying off CC1 in the next 12 months?

  • Hi BB! Thanks for that - I've budgeted for at least £300 month off CC1, and more if the business (we rent out our annex as a holiday let) does well. As well as the Tilly tidies of course. I'd really love to be below £3K on this one by Christmas...

    Today's OP is a round £10 :D

Does anyone else play around with the snowball calculator for fun? or is it just me? :p

Rainy day here, so we've lit the fire, and DD and I are snuggled up on the sofa watching the 80s film afternoon on C5. Today is - finally - a NSD! I don't seem to have very many of those; something I need to work on. OH is painting in the spare room.

On the plus side, we've just taken another booking for the holiday let - that's 21 weeks booked for this year. Must remember to set up a tax account, and put something in that every month, in fact I'll do that now. Hope everyone is having a relaxing and peaceful Sunday x

oh, and I've just listed a load of DD's clothes on fleabay; had to psyche myself up to do it, as I haven't had the best of experiences on there..

    Today's OP to Cc1: £8.73

Busy day at work (again! Is there any other sort?) with big frustrations about people not taking ownership grrrrrr. When I run the company there will be changes!! There is an opportunity for promotion; I've only been with the company 6 months and was promoted 3 months ago.. Might be a bit soon to go up again, but nothing ventured nothing gained! I've asked to see the job spec in any case.. We'll see.

Feeling very positive today about debt busting :D I'm looking forward to being paid from the letting company on Friday, not exactly sure how much this month but should be enough to make an extra payment to CC1. My salary from my real job is mid month, so a good spread. One day I'll have paid off my debts and then watch out mortgage!

Bootcamp tonight too, which I'm looking forward to. I can work out all my frustrations with the day there :)

sad but I can't see a time when I will be, which is silly.. but I can't make plans for that time until I believe we might actually achieve it.. I've been in debt all my life!
