I envy people who say things like "oh I'm a sugar person" or "I only tend to eat savoury things". I have absolutely no discrimination between sweet and savoury when it comes to inhaling edible items!
Oh cripes I think she's spotted us
My crisp intake is sadly depleted these days as rather a lot of the flavourings have gluten inso I am surviving with black pepper K3ttle Chips, bbq P0pchips and encouraging other crisp eating by proxy
Hurrah for your boss and your mum and :rotfl:to £550 earrings. I think you've just proved my point that nobody can tell the difference anyway!

However, on the bright financial side, my boss bought me lunch again! He'd actually invited one of my colleagues (who I'm really close to) out to lunch but she forgot he'd asked and arranged lunch with me. By sheer chance he mentioned it just as she and I were about to go and instead of cancelling, I was invited to gatecrash! I felt quite bad as that wasn't his plan or intention but he did seem genuinely ok with me being there and as she and I don't eat much or drink expensive drinks he was happy to pay for us both.
Oh, then this evening, after dinner, I took my Mum into a little jewellers near the restaurant as I'd like a cheap pair of pretty studs that I can wear all the time. I saw a beautiful sparkly pair reduced from £6.99 to £5.50 and decided they were an absolute bargain and got them all boxed up and lovely to then be told "that'll be five hundred and fifty pounds please" EEK! How stupid am I to have missed the fact there was no decimal point there!!!! (neither was there a ".00" but even so!)She was extremely good about my buffoonary and the fact she'd spent time and effort presenting them so well. There were so many signs that should have told me that these were quality, but honestly, the bright mustard yellow sale sticker and the red "bargain price" stamp on it totally distracted me. I'm so Essex supermarket!!!!! :embarasse
So now I'm home and absolutely shattered. I was given 4 new projects today which are all very urgent and highly important! Good grief! I'll have to stay late tomorrow to get a handle on them all so that I don't suddenly get snowed under. I can't stay late on Thursday as that's radio interview time and I'm away for the weekend on Friday so I just need to make sure I get myself organised tomorrow.
Almost at the hump now at least!

RosaBernica, I can see now why you're so willing to be Nora's alibi! I'm sorry to hear you're gluten sensitive. That can't be easy or fun as gluten is everywhere!
Isn't it odd how food intolerances have soared in the relatively recent past!!! My body has a bad reaction to most foods these days!
Hello Aaleigha. I think my Mum appreciates how I am with her. That story is a long and bumpy one, so I'll just say that things are good between us now.0 -
Ahhh, so busy today! One of the projects is highly confidential, particularly from my department, so half way through setting things up I had all of my rights removed! Blind-sided!
So obviously had the fuss and bother of having to get it reinstated for the time I needed to complete my tasks!
I'm finding it tough knowing which way to turn. I have to demo a project tomorrow, which I've had no time to work on. I also have to put a plan together for the other outstanding bits and pieces. Stop the world - I want to get off! I obviously need a holiday
I hope today is at least slightly less stressful for anyone reading this.

Well that's another working week weeked! All done and finished and then I'm off for a weekend break tomorrow until Monday. Just a short break up north courtesy of free train tickets and a groupon voucher. So should be a real cheapy.
Tonight I had my volunteer interview which ended up not being an interview at all. It was a meet, greet and talk through things. All the documentation I need to fill out was in a folder on her desk and we just discussed what they do and what I could do if I want to. I thought that as I have no experience as a presenter that I'd start small and then gradually work up. But they're so desperate for female presenters and as I came across as myself and not shy or awkward, that I can start anywhere I want to. As I'm away this weekend my training starts next Thursday evening on her segment with her, where I'll also be allowed to speak a bit if I want to! As I left there I was so grateful and excited that it made me quite emotional. I'm also really pleased that I saw it through and went there as I did have that nagging voice asking me what I thought I was playing at a few times. I'm so pleased I didn't listen to that for too long.
Anyway, that's done and in the meantime I'll see if I can find them online and get a feel for what they currently do. It's absolutely free reign within the realms of decency, so I can talk about and play what I want to within general polite confines.
Financially (that is why we're here after all) not great again! I took lunch in, really healthy foods, but it was the birthday of one of our gap year students who sent an email around asking who wanted to help him celebrate with a lunch out! I can't say no to things like that for various reasons (none food related) so off we went. It was only £12 for a decent meal, but that's still shockingly expensive for a work day lunch. I don't regret it though!
So tomorrow I'm off again, although I am seriously considering bringing my laptop with me as I'm working on some documents I need for one of my websites. But I'm also worried something will happen to it so am feeling apprehensive. Hmm! What to do!
Anyway, I've gone on again, so I'll wander off and pack for the weekend and wish everyone a fantastic weekend! We're over the hump and can see the end in sight!!!!
