Oh dear you two - are you asking if my boss has a nice bottom???

I'm assuming that's what the questions refer to? He did pay for the lunch as he's very generous like that. He and I had some huge issues last year, and so things like going for lunch are what we both do to make the effort to maintain a lovely working relationship.

I think the universal understanding is that bosses don't have any areas of anatomy that are noticed by their staff! ;)

Coming home to a sullied diary was a really good way to make me smile. I've hit real life with a bit of a bump so thank you both for cheering me.

Wow - that went fast! I'm back from my holiday and very sad that it's over! Probably one of the best holidays I've ever had which was mainly due to the gorgeous lovely people I was on holiday with!

It was so hot too! But we had a private beach and some hammocks in the grounds we were staying so don't feel sorry for me!!!!

We also moved on from UAE to India, which was the highlight for me. Tuc tucs, dusty streets and Star status! I had my birthday there too, and was absolutely spoiled rotten the whole day by everyone. The guesthouse owners noticed my date of birth from my passport and made me a chocolate cake for me! A trip of heaven which I would highly recommend! A trip advisor update required!

So now it's back to the grindstone, and after a lovely fortnight I'm even more determined to make sure I spend wisely and don't throw money away on "things". I want more experiences like that rather than another nifty gadget (gadgets are a huge weakness for me). I have fallen completely in love with a certain wifi sound system, but will have to save up for that rather than get it now.

My accounts are looking pretty yummy though! I'm ahead of my saving plans for the year although I must have forgotten something along the way as I have no idea where these extra pounds have come from (I'm used to saying that about my waistline, not my bank accounts). Maybe being strict with the pennies is working well for me? I hope so!

I also still haven't received the details of my new account so called again today. The application was stuck in the same place as before so this time the woman gave me a call back and told me the account number and sort code so that I feel reassured that it has now moved on a few stages. I should get my details in 7-10 days which will enable me to start using the account. Finally!

I think that's my update. I've seen that some local boot sales are opening up again this weekend and have some bits ready to take to cash converters on Friday so that should mean a few more pounds to put away.

I hope everyone is well and happy and had a lovely weekend x

Well I'm back in my routine of checking all accounts first thing and am feeling happy with those numbers.

I had a great online customer service experience today. While I was away on Saturday I had an amazon parcel delivered. I wasn't home so they updated to state that they had left the package with Mr G at 14. So, last night I knocked at 14 where there was no parcel and no Mr G. I then knocked at 6 other houses either side of where I live (nowhere near 14) just to be thorough. No package. :(

I contacted Amazon's online chat today and without issue they've sent out another parcel for me, to arrive tomorrow and extended my prime membership by one month! So I should have plenty of time to watch the 3rd series of Scandal before it expires! Very happy! :D

So, that's my News Of The Day!!!!

It's Mother's Day on Sunday so I'm now racking my brains as to what to buy! Plus a day out! Ooh, I love days out - and 2 way gifts!!!! ;)

I'm struggling to keep the focus of last week! Today I've really overspent on rubbish/unnecessary food, mainly because of laziness. I was trying to hold off and not buy any proper food and so I've ended up eating lots of cake that was brought in for a birthday as I got so hungry. That obviously didn't work so I THEN went out and bought some savoury items from the closest food shop, which was hugely expensive!!!!

I'm sabotaging myself today and need to get a bit of a grip before I undo the good holiday work I did on myself. Focus!!!! I'll prepare my lunch for tomorrow when I get home tonight! Definitely!!!!!

One more work day and then I can concentrate on preparing and organising myself.

Feeling slightly better today, although not able to celebrate just yet. I've not wasted any money today and I haven't let myself go hungry. I had a few lunchy type bits indoors which I brought in to work with me. From tomorrow I need to work on eating foods which actually contain some nutritional values!!!! :o

I've applied for an M&S current account today to get their regular savers account. :D I'll do a switch too so will hopefully be eligible for a £100 M&S voucher which I'll use for Christmas presents. But they don't give an immediate response so I need to wait up to 48 hours for a decision! It's completely archaic! :D

I've also had a little jiggle with other accounts and really need to sit and write down what comes in and what goes out so that it's all clearly noted. Once my last account is set up and all DD's and SO's are where they should be (I keep moving things around to organise a Switch) I'll be able to note it all down. Hopefully my Nationwide details will be delivered in the next day or two as that's for my personal monthly budget so that I can keep that separate from bill accounts.

Boot sales have started up again near where I live, but this Sunday is Mother's day and I'm away next weekend so may be a few weeks before I can start on those. I'm a little disappointed as the weather seems pretty perfect for them at the moment. Not sure my Mum would appreciate me cancelling our day out in order to sit in a big field with my unwanted treasures though!!!! ;)

Not long to go before my epic 5 day weekend! I've got so much to do, but I'm looking forward to getting myself organised again.

I'm considering doing more online surveys in the hope of boosting some Amazon vouchers. I get paid Amazon vouchers through Quidco and Shop & Scan, so if I add some surveys then maybe that will be Christmas paid for this year? It's a lot of effort for little reward, although I could find an hour a day I suppose? Hmmm! What to do.....

I think sometimes it's ok to be a little lazy on the food front - not often, you understand *hides the packet of crisps she's eating*, but it's part of life's balance.

And it's good to have you back - even if you do have hammock marks on your bum. :D
  • As always your doing amazing .... Glad you are back :)

We both know that cake must have sprouted legs and ran into your mouth? I am sure you did nothing to even tempt it your way so ...I will forgive you the cake ...lol xx

My mood has really picked up. A lot of that due to the lovely Sam and Nora's support!!! Thank you both xx

Thursday I was off and really didn't have much energy to do much. It was my first proper day off in over 3 weeks so I'm not beating myself up too much. I did go shopping and did all of my washing so I at least did something.

Yesterday I had a fantastic day visiting a brand new cruise ship docked near me where I'd been invited to check out the boat and have a beautiful meal and watch a short show. I went with family and friends and it was such a lovely day. The weather was quite nice too. The ship itself is beautiful and felt like luxury, but I'm not a cruise type of person so was really happy it remained in port.

I also contacted my local hospital about doing some volunteer work for them. I did this for various reasons. The nice reason is because I'm very happy in my own company but I know that not many people are and as I spend so much time on my own I obviously have time to give to others. Also, I need an outlet for the more gregarious and welcoming side of my personality. There's a constant conflict at work as I'm so friendly and welcoming when the others want visitors in, sorted and out again. I still want that, but I want it to be a happy experience rather than an awkward one. So this will hopefully be a lovely 2 way beneficial experience. I received a response immediately and have been invited in to meet people on Thursday evening. I'm very excited about that.

Today is another quiet day, but I've decided to put more effort into working on my own business. Another area in my life that allows me to be who I am rather than what's expected of me.

I'm feeling out of my rut now too. Hope has resumed!!! :D

I hope everyone had a lovely week and are having a great weekend.
