I'm so pleased I started a diary again. I really giggle at some of the comments.

Aaleigha - thank you so much for dropping by. Are you another happy loner? It's really nice to have you smiling with me on the highs and frowning with my lows. I'll pop along to see if you have a diary shortly. I'll let you know how the volunteer work goes if they let me in so you'll have an idea if it's right for you. x

Lovely Sam - I will definitely look after myself a little better, especially after some reflecting I had today - more about that later. I do love reading Nora's telling offs as the love she's trying to send really oozes out there, I think. You have some lovely fans in your diary, but I won't be going anywhere. I'm here to stay I think! x

Emzilla - I'm so glad you've found me. I've almost caught up on your diary! So much progress for you. x

Nora - how could you have crisps in my diary and then hide them from me? Oh wait, probably the same way I can sneak into your diary and steal all the good chocolate!!!! x

Today I had to have my hair done. My colourist has recently been promoted and so all charges have gone up. I put aside £50 feeling pretty confident that won't be enough. Got to the till and it was .... a staggering .... £30!!!! How do they afford to stay open????

So, obviously I put that £20 aside for saving, didn't I? :o No! I've ordered a bracelet that one of my friends was wearing on the boat on Friday! I have a little theory that if something "haunts" me, then I can have it! Which is what happened. I tried to buy it in store but it's not in the shop yet, so I ordered it online to be delivered to the store for me! It was also twice the price of the savings I made today!!!! I'm a bad person!!!! :D

During the boring alone time of waiting for the colour to take, I did have some reflection time. I was really healthy in India, with smaller portions and lots more moving around. Since getting home I jumped straight back into my very poor eating habits! So I've been shopping and have bought lots of fresh food and before my holiday becomes a distant memory I'll be writing up a meal plan and sticking to it. It'll be hard going from rubbish food to healthier choices but I have to do this. I need to lose weight, but that's not my goal. My goal is to feel healthy again, which I was getting to while away. I loved how that felt and getting back to bad habits has emphasised how bad I feel when I eat poorly.

    No more excuses!!!!

With the Amazon prime extension I've managed to catch up on the 3rd series of Scandal, so tonight I think I'll treat myself to a film from my prime membership. I'm really craving a nasty, horrific horror film too! Really not the best thing to watch when you live alone in a creaky house !!!!

Hello Aaleigha. I'm still contemplating moving into Nora's diary with all the goodies she has there. :) I think the best part of these diaries is getting to know likeminded people you can feel an affinity with. Menu planning seems to be the tried and tested formula for losing weight and/or getting healthy, but I have this terrible voice in my head that can justify any bad food decision I make! :o

RosaBernica, are you working as Nora's alibi there? :p I envy people who say things like "oh I'm a sugar person" or "I only tend to eat savoury things". I have absolutely no discrimination between sweet and savoury when it comes to inhaling edible items!

Today was a mixed bag. It's my Mum's birthday and as she lives so close to me I like to make a little fuss of her. I spent way too much on her birthday present but that's just the way things are and I like doing that. But she's been poorly and has been suffering from toothache for the past week or so and when she went to get it fixed today at the dentist they struggled to find the cause of the pain so she was jabbed and prodded around for some time before a solution was found. :( So feeling quite bad for her I let her choose whatever she wanted to do this evening and she wanted to ....... eat! :drool:With feeling poorly and having a bad mouth she's not been up to eating much and today was the first time she felt reasonably well and her appetite was waking up! So, a little more expensive than I expected but she is worth it.

However, on the bright financial side, my boss bought me lunch again! He'd actually invited one of my colleagues (who I'm really close to) out to lunch but she forgot he'd asked and arranged lunch with me. By sheer chance he mentioned it just as she and I were about to go and instead of cancelling, I was invited to gatecrash! I felt quite bad as that wasn't his plan or intention but he did seem genuinely ok with me being there and as she and I don't eat much or drink expensive drinks he was happy to pay for us both.

Oh, then this evening, after dinner, I took my Mum into a little jewellers near the restaurant as I'd like a cheap pair of pretty studs that I can wear all the time. I saw a beautiful sparkly pair reduced from £6.99 to £5.50 and decided they were an absolute bargain and got them all boxed up and lovely to then be told "that'll be five hundred and fifty pounds please" EEK! How stupid am I to have missed the fact there was no decimal point there!!!! (neither was there a ".00" but even so!) :o She was extremely good about my buffoonary and the fact she'd spent time and effort presenting them so well. There were so many signs that should have told me that these were quality, but honestly, the bright mustard yellow sale sticker and the red "bargain price" stamp on it totally distracted me. I'm so Essex supermarket!!!!! :embarasse

So now I'm home and absolutely shattered. I was given 4 new projects today which are all very urgent and highly important! Good grief! I'll have to stay late tomorrow to get a handle on them all so that I don't suddenly get snowed under. I can't stay late on Thursday as that's radio interview time and I'm away for the weekend on Friday so I just need to make sure I get myself organised tomorrow.

Almost at the hump now at least!
