At 70 the cameras are likely to be set at 79. I know in my car that an indicated 70 keeps me on pace with buses limited to 62. and I read about 62/3 when keeping pace with artics on a 56 limit.

I would suggest setting the cruise control at a lower speed next time.

I showed to 50 at around Laurencekirk I think, I didn't see anywhere else indicating 50

You're likely to get away with it.

The general rule - but it's not hard a fast is 10% + 2mph.

So that means very few drivers will be prosecuted for speeds below 79mph.

As said most speedos are 'optimistic' and read high - sometimes surprisingly high.

Just keep your fingers crossed and 'Ca canny' in future.
