Thanks watty if it comes up for sale you should buy it just to get them out quick haha
Bit of a year of end update really for me so if you fancy a read :]
What a year it has been for me personally
Jan 2015
Start of the year 2015 i was in a 18k car i bought cash 6 months previous (knowing full well this was my money for my house i solt it after having it for 6 months for less than a £500 loss car was over 40k new and was mint
Anyway i used this money along with some savings to purchase my house :]
FEB 2015
Bought a semi detached with a great amount of space and potential for 88k put a 22k deposit down leaving me with roughly 67k mortgage. I was on 6.4% interest at this time
I spent the next 6-7 months doing the property up and spent close to 10-12k on a full refurbishment full rewire full plaster new kitchen new bathroom new boiler attic conversion new floor i went high end finish so spend about 3-4k more than i actually needed to
Anyway id say the house is worth at least 110k maby now due to location/spec/space ect ect But it is my home for the next 10 years + iv lived in the area all my life and really like it plus how can u put a price on happiness :]
SEPT 2015
I then remortgaged 6 months later i owed just under 65k at this stage so i had to pay the fees to get out of the old one which took me back upto 67k mortgage
Here we are in December
mortgage is around 65800 or so after some regular OPs
Along side all this iv been a single dad running around working and looking after family so its been very busy which i kinda like i guess im only 28 so no other time for it all haha
Just wanna say thanks to each and everyone whos commented give me advise or supported me along the way
Now time to work on this mortgage balance and pay the bills grrrrrr lolMortgage--- [STRIKE]£67700 March 15[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£65221 April 15[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£64983 July 15[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£64780 sept 15[/STRIKE] Remortgage [STRIKE]£67295 oct 15[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£66599 Nov 15[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£65878.73 Dec 15[/STRIKE][STRIKE] £64834 1st Jan 16[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]Feb 16 £64,511.89[/STRIKE][STRIKE] March 16 £64,056.40[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]April 16 £62550[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]May 16 £62,396.20[/STRIKE] Feb 17 £60.800

A great year for you LIL, well done :T
I am swithering between replacing our single sectional concrete garage with a really good shed/a block garage/a proper brick built garage. As we already have the concrete base for the existing garage, I'm thinking that a like for like garage might be the way to go? What are you thinking about for yours?0 -
Fantastic OP LiL :T What a way to end the year
Glad I don't have those 'hobbies' your friend does either..that's another year off the mortgage :eek:Back on the DFW Wagon:

Completely agree with this, but I probably fritter amounts away on other things, such as extra curriculars for the kids. I'm sure we all prioritise some spending others would see as unnecessary.
I worked out those are around £120 a month just on lesson costs without the obligatory uniform that lots come with.:(:oHOME

Thanks ED
I think you should do defiantly more appealing having a garage door on the garage/shed haha :]
All the houses in my area well the semis are dashed build in the early 80s so i will just go down the block road myself and get a friend who has a plastering company to dash it late summer if it doesn't cost to much.
I will however get a quote on the bricks just to see the difference
im building mine 30 square meters
plan is to build the shed
put 2 big gates up
then do the drive to the shed which will form half of the back which will be in a red brick same as the drive to the side and front is now
Im hoping to get on this next week now :]Ali-OK Fantastic OP LiL What a way to end the year
