  • Yeah, I have 2 sub accounts 1 with interest, 1 without, so when I o/p, guess what account I nominate it goes towards. That's right - the one(s) with the interest added on. The 0% sub account can wait.;)

Having finally curbed my need for speed/sporty/convertible at the age of 46, I'd say that's a wise decision and a very good money saving plan :)

Congrats on moving in too

  • You're properly moved in! Excellent!

Also agree on the car, for now I've prioritised cheapish to run, reliable, not too old, that means sporty is out the window. When the mortgage is officially dead and buried I might have a rethink :D

Ah Lucky I feel your pain with the car. I have a Toyota Corolla Sport that is 13 years old I affectionately call Beastie. He is nippy, reliable, gets me places and (touch wood and whistle) has never broken down.....but...he costs me a fair bit each MOT (the engine will never go but the other bits and pieces do) and he only gets about 21 mpg. GULP! I never really worried as when I was at sea I hardly used him, but now I've been in the office the fuel bills mount up!
