Nice pressie to yourself:j, and nice way of working the pressie giving. Just mention to your mum - "as long as I get a selection box" - that way, you'll have your own - so no pinching off DS:rotfl:

Don't know if Santa will bring me my pressie, I have written to him, its in my signature:D

Great pressie Lucky and my Mum buys stuff too on behalf of DS to me, so that's a great idea doing it that way.

What a pain with the blinds colour, hope they can replace those soon.

Like the money saving from the blinds error - nice one! :D

Yes, been single for a long time through choice - was too tired/not enough time when DS was young with working full time and commuting and now I'm just tired and getting old and can't be bothered :o

I read some diaries and think if only there were 2 wages coming into the house here then the mortgage would get knocked on the head quicker. On the other hand, I can do as I please and with DS at 15, I might contemplate getting a life but don't want to spend money doing it!

2 wages thing would be nice especially for me as im self employed i wouldn't worry to much but id rather be skint and happy than have 2 wages and unhappy haha

Just got off the phone about my mortgage

Turns out i do indeed have 3 calendar years of 10% OPs so have till the 31st to overpay what i can wont be the full 10% but i think my payment on account may be less in jan so i will talk with account :]

my daily interest is £4.41 i asked does this go down when i make OP they said no its basically only goes down a bit after each normal payment

While im in the mood £77.43 OP from Legal and general payment

Yeap, thought that you would, but 1 month to o/p 10% in the month of December, well good luck with that one. I had 4 months to o/p 10%:rotfl: Don't even earn 10% of my mortgage in 4 months:eek:

I'm not sure if I'm reading this right, but they tell you you're mortgage interest will not go down when you o/p ?
I think you need to check that one again. Surely it must, you're charged interest on what you owe, so reduce that and your interest charges must also be reduced. Check it again.

    Great o/p £77.43:j well done. But, there's always a ... but ...

Is that £65878.73 balance on your signature, if so - £77.43 - tut tut, did I not teach you anything;) where's the other £1.30 ?? or me being me the £2.30, I'm sure that wouldn't have put you over the cliff:D = £65,800.00

Hey AFK ya that is scary even if i had a 20k EF i don't think i would use 6k to overpay as i kinda like just chipping away at it on a weekly bases keeps me sharp i guess and i got the safety of the EF

Ya he told me the daily interest will stay the same even after iv made my OP its £4.41 currently i will however ring agine next month and see what it is then just out of interest maby this is wrong but we will soon find out :] people can and will be wrong tho so hopefully he is lol

Ya i dont update my sig till start of each month after the normal payment goes out so add up all the ops and normal payment ;) gives me something to look forward to after normal payment goes out :j

i made a £37 op on the 2nd ;) so with the 77 i made today 4th it will be under the 65800 :money: hehe wooo
i never round it off tho just put in the extra income i get to the penny

Is your interest calculated monthly Lucky or it could be they don't recalculate below a certain amount. Either of those might explain it, defo worth getting to the bottom of it :)

  • Can you not sign up for online account, I have, but although you can't do much with it, you can see the statement for the year - interest going on and all payments coming off and balance, all be it maybe 2 days after their paid. I can see the sub accounts what interest rate is being added and the total balance on each of the sub accounts.
