6.4% is the exact amount DH and I had when we took our mortgage out before we remortgaged. There was a vey satisfying moment when we remortgaged and I checked the online banking. It went from us paying £800 in interest a month to £300! Never felt happier!

That's amazing. Good luck this week. I will have fingers crossed the interest drop will make a big impact!

    Thanks cream tea

So i had my meeting with the bank on Monday a valuer is getting in contact with me this week or next i think to come down and value the house

Im hoping the fact that there's no kitchen there or flooring don't make him say less than its worth im hoping he says 95k-110k but as its not finished yet i dunno

Ill leave the facts and figures for if i get the mortgage in wringing tho but if i do get this mortgage it would change things quite a bit :] if not ill still be as motivated as ever to pay it of asap:j

    Actual house news
As i had a family member pass away 2 weeks ago now i haven't done nothing there for 2 weeks nearly so i need to work this week now to give me 2 days down there next week painting a bit more cleaning ect

  • Sorry to hear about your family member passing away LIL.

Sounds like you are doing a brilliant job on all fronts. Can't believe you OP'd so much while doing so much on the house. Amazing!

Good luck on the remortgaging. Will be a brilliant feeling to get that interest down and know that even more of your money is going towards being mortgage free!

    Thanks SR

Bank phoned me today and the valuation came back at 92k it was only a drive by valuation tho shame really as it would of been nice for them to actually come in and see whats been done

dont matter as they said i can have the best rate so now i need to sort my sa302s out and get the ball rolling.

    wish me luck
