£15 to put up a curtain rail ...eeek!
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

i have a deep seated hatred about putting curtain rails up!! If the poles straight the ceiling isn't, if its straight with the ceiling the floor isn't, and then add in the window, the window ledge and a picky wife...

Wow your doing great. End of August sounds like you've really blasted it:0)

Great on the win aswell. Resist a car for as long as possible but im thinking once you get your own place sorted you could use your diy skills to save up extra for a car! It's wee jobs people can't do themselves like curtain poles and loo roll holders you could make a bob or two. My friend paid to get curtain poles put up in a new build property. 15 quid each and 8 windows!

Ya i agree doing lots of small stuff yourself can save loads :]

thanks the win helps pay some of the interest off hehe

Have you thought about seeing if anyone on freecycle would take the hardcore?
    And the trees?
It often pops up on my local freecycle and it does seem to go - and - it might save you some cash plus get help to clear it!

  • If they are actual logs you can advertise them on local FB selling page and I'm sure you would get them collected most people with a fire or woodburner would love them
