You have any good suggestions where to stick it?

Apologies for the super delayed reaction. You can have £2k @ 5% with T5B and £5k @4% with Ll0yds. Beyond that, I'd opt for S123 (or maybe short term P2P lending, if that would be at all suitable for you)?

Ya the only one i need to open is a 123 account where i could put the bulk of what i have

P2P lending how safe is it in the real world and how quick can it be taken out if ever needed ?

If you use something like R@tesetter that has a provision fund and you lend money in the smallest chunks possible to remain diversified, it's fairly safe. In terms of taking the money out before term, it's usually possible to do this, but you will lose or forfeit interest (best avoided). I was more thinking that you could store the bulk of the money in current accs, with a small proportion tied up in P2P for 2-3 years to top up your overall rate.

I see ya ill have a read about it tonight now

Putting money away for 2-3 years isnt a bad idea actually as may save my over payments for 2 years and overpay when on the SVR when the fee is not applicant but im very undecided on the over payment thing currently

i do admit tho the money i have currently isnt do much for me at all
