I'm just frustrated that I am away and can't just deal with this- usually when I get a bank chargeback I tend to go to town on it and I can do nothing sitting here relaxing in my Greek taverna.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. After selling on Ebay for 13 years, this week is the worst I have ever known for sales. I have more items listed than I have ever had but sales are dwindling. How is everyone else doing? Has Amazon Prime Day had any effect?0

I have 80 odd items listing on my private account and this last month I must've sold 2 items, when before it was 2-3 a week at least. Not sure what is going on, but not too chuffed about that0

That said I've had week on week increases on Amazon. When I was selling on Ebay there was no way of knowing what sales would be from one week to the next.
The Ebay/Paypal split is happening now so that could be having some impact. Either in Ebay slowing sales to manipulate figures or for some other reason.
It would be interesting to know how much Amazon and Ebay trade is related. I'd guess it's not as much as people think. There will obviously be some cross over but I'd bet there are a lot of people shopping on one who won't shop on the other.
I can only go on personal experience but my best days on Ebay were usually Sundays, they tend to be the worst on Amazon. My Amazon buyers tend to work in offices and spend money during the day, my Ebay ones tended to be at home and buy in the evenings..0 -
I've slowed down since I have been back from holiday, just selling a handful of items a day at the moment and virtually all in the same category.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. It's very erratic on Ebay. My sales are picking up again since midweek (nothing like they used to be though) but I know around the corner they are just as likely to plummet again. Never used to have this feeling a few years back...and beyond.0

I don't care if it is impossible, or just a conspiracy theory but I have definitely been switched off by ebay. Up until a couple of weeks ago I was easily selling 15-30 items a day, in fact sales were so strong I flipped my holiday settings on a couple of times just so I could catch up. The past few days I am down to 2 sales a day- and at the moment my last sale was approx 4.15 yesterday afternoon- so I am heading towards 24 hours without a sale.
Nothing has changed on my account, no poor feedback, showing above standard- no open issues- just a complete lack of sales. Summer is traditionally slower for me, but this is daft. I have had some good sales on my private account, so at least that made it worthwhile going to the mail centre- but at this rate there will be nothing to take tomorrow.
I am considering phoning them on the dedicated PS line to have a moan.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Message from ebay on all my unsold items - "We recommend lowering your price. Similar items had a starting price around £1.50 and sold for between £2.19-£4.21"
Message to ebay - I recommend you lower your fees and your unrealistic view of how much postage and packing actually costs.
I list all my items as free p&p so if I had starting prices that low and they sold for that price I would be paying to send my items away.
This is really going to annoy me

My sales are dire at the moment, down to a couple a day. Phoned EBay this morning re downgrading my featured shop and asked if it was quiet. The rep said it was, and the recent split from Paypal has caused a few problems
He said EBay will be contacting some sellers with offers shortly. I have already had the list free and only pay when the item sells. Haven't taken the offer up, but this with the new EAN requirement is making EBay more and more like Amazon. You're only young once, but you can be immature forever0 -

My little moan helped a bit yesterday as I sold 11 things- but it isn't really enough compared to my sales last month. Holiday settings on now though as I can't get to the PO tomorrow and won't risk making buyers wait until Monday.
I am hoping for the business free listings soon - I have a lot of lines ready and waiting to go.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
