  • Hi - quick update - NOT MUCH FLYING!

Made double load of flapjack and delivered to ch shop. Did some bits of shopping, spent hours on phone trying to sort out charity collection for Saturday, went for walk with D sis, then more sorting out re charity collection. Made coffee walnut traybake. Just need to do the topping and box it up some for DH work and some for ch shop.

Had coffee and catch up with NDN .

Did loads more WWI research and sent off to the book's author.

Started to wash more paintwork down but have given up. Need to get up at O god zero hours tomorrow to finish that before charity shop shift.
Must do a frog now - phone call I've been putting off.

    Have a good evening everyone.

    Happy Birthday Natty.

That's about it. need to have a good day Friday. Oh gave one of my baby hats to ndn daughter as it fits her doll so need to get on and do another!

Hello tis me. Didn't get on to post this morning as too busy trying to source a new duvet on arg0s site that DH could pick up on his way home from the paid stuff. OldDog got in our room last night because the handle was broken (we hadn't noticed) and had an accident. These are more frequent lately and I'm wondering if we only have months left with her, she is certainly showing her age, although there are days where she runs rather than walks.

Anyway, new duvet etc and door handle, £36 down and I only got time to do the ironing before the paid stuff so still have a huge pile of shredding to do.

Haven't decluttered anything yet today but have my eye on something I can't reach, so need to get DH to get it soon.

I've done a days paid stuff -very stressful -, two dog walks, quickly hoovered downstairs. Just did jacket spuds for tea which was a change from my original meal plan and washed up.

Sorry this post is just me me me, so hugs etc where needed.
Spend less now, work less later.

Thank you for your birthday wishes :D

Unfortunately I'm feeling rather sorry for myself as I've been banned from doing long distance driving again. :( I can do short distances and they have to be short i.e. Morrisons or my therapy group but that's it. Went to get my foot looked at as it hasn't shown any sign of healing from when I fell down the stairs before Christmas..well the bad news is I have ripped the tendons in my ankle back and side :( Good news is at least I'm not on crutches which would have been interesting especially as my elbow hasn't healed properly..lol What a lovely birthday..won't forget Christmas just gone to the elbow break and now I won't forget this years birthday :p

On the up side Dh bought me a lovely Tiffany's necklace that I wanted which I am wearing with my mum's wedding ring threaded on. DH also made me dinner tonight and I have a glass of something fizzy while watching Bake Off. And for supper, instead of a cake, we are having profiteroles :D

And I'm still waiting to hear when my laptop will be ready to pick up - I miss her so much..lol Have to resort to my old laptop which is much heavier and bigger..grr!!

    Anyway mustn't grumble today..lol

Thank you again for my birthday wishes :D

Productive! Made lovely dinner and had a heart to heart with DS who has upset MIL and needs to calm his behaviour down. He seems less angry and even let DD read the bedtime story without talking over her! Aww she did so well bless her it's hard to believe she's still just in nursery. She read us the 3 little pigs and although lots was from memory she did a brilliant job and hardly spells out any words before reading them :T

Since they've been in bed I've sorted the kitchen and set DW on (again), finished my photo back up and cleaned 2 sinks and loos. Oh and I did a hhi earlier while DS had his tea.

DD is also ready to go up a swimming group - one more week of jumping in alone and dunking her face without a fuss and she can move up. And they have the next group on Mondays so in theory they will both be at lessons on the same night, freeing up Wednesday evenings for quality time :T

Then she's going to ballet class on fri. My little lady all grown up!

Dusty I often clean my kitchen floor by hand, it does clean better and often quicker than faffing with the steam mop or a bucket...

Right that's me done for the night. Nails will have to wait till tomorrow!

    natty Happy Birthday! :bdaycake:

    Juliejim:grouphug:Dodgy hugs for you.

Good day at work, colleague made pancakes for lovely year 8 group - our favourite class - who were so appreciative. The terrible year 7 decided to behave and consequently we had much more fun. I'm pleased I've actually managed a full three days although I'm back on the sofa.

Will catch up on flying tomorrow, promise!

Villa Valli is almost ALL DONE. Dining room needs a tickle round but that's it. I just need to empty kitchen and bathroom bins and the vax and put the bin out. WOOT
Popped to Tesc) because of a post on the glitch thread but the bargains to be had elsewhere aren't apparent here. Nevertheless I bought a 1D photo frame for 5p for the prize box. Unfortunately there was only one and got a couple of things I needed (I buy value fabric conditioner and I needed some) but I got a retractable lip brush (Barbara Daly for 42p instead of £4.20 so that will be a stocking filler - (with 3 nieces and a DD someone will get it!).
Been to a colleagues today to do some assessing without levels (please don't ask) so basically number crunched with my excel skills and she gave me a dozen large free range eggs as I have given her marmalade - gotta love old-fashioned bartering! I shall give my mum and dad (aka my rock) 6.
