Half term next week (at least in the south) do you need to make appointments/plans? HALF TERM IN MIDLANDS TOO :) SON'S FRIEND HERE MON - FRI TO HELP HIS PARENTS WHILE AT WORK, SO LOTS OF EXTRA WALL CLIMBING TO BE DONE, AND GOOD FAMILY TIMES.

This morning, had to thoroughly clean lounge, as was far too dusty, with open fire, and was desperate for a hoover too!

Kitchen has also had a good clean.
    Ironing done and put away.
    2 loads of washing done.
5 bags in car boot for cs.
3 bags for DD and bf for cash for clothes.
3 items sold on ebay, 16 items didn't sell and been relisted haha.

Had a pleasant surprise today as was DS1 parents evening, and to be honest, wasn't expecting the best, due to change in attitude a few weeks ago and a few bad comments in homework diary. However, apart from a few needs put more effort in homework, I was very proud and impressed. More importantly, DS1 was proud of himself :)

Not managed to touch bathroom, but hopefully will paint wall tomorrow and clean thoroughly after.

Have briefly read through thread, seems to have been extra busy, so hugs to all who want or need and smiles for everyone :)
Loving life to the full, just need purse full too :)

Have you tried a warm water gargle with a little TCP - might help as I used to get it all the time. Chemist might be able to give you some pastilles which are a little anaesthetic ;)

strepsils are my friend and chloroseptic spray.. don't laugh at me but, I cannot gargle and I cannot spit things out.. its ok if it is stuff I can swallow (but.. this is a reason I do not partake in that aspect of bedroom activity.. because I know how rude some of our 'ladies' are and that would be their first thought. ) whited for a bit of discretion ;)

DH brought me home four Chinese pears from a shop he visited today. Never seen them before - anyone any ideas please !

Just eat them! I've got a tree of them in the garden and I love them so juicy and crispy; like a good apple texture and juice but tasting like a pear. They don't need any special treatment!

    Very little to report here.
Went to zumba, was great to be back.
Went to uni; one student cancelled but another had an extra half hour so not much money lost, and got home early.......
.....so went to see Kingsman Secret Service as cheap on a Tues and free upgrade to post seats.
Have to say flyman has been pretty efficient today.

Hugs to Dusty - I know how tiring and worrying it is visiting loved ones in hospital.

  • Morning everyone

Hugs Dusty - it is difficult for all of you - is Mum any better today? Is she in a local hospital or do you have a way to travel?

    Good luck with weigh-in Bossy.

Well done on loft clearance Elastic - I daren't go in mine!

Pigpen - hope you are better today - I can't gargle either but your whited post gave me a giggle!

Plan for today - make flapjack to take into ch shop. Everyone working so hard on the clearance.

    Do more winter cleaning
    Bake two cakes
Go for walk with D sis.
Research new cafe for Sunday lunch with DS and DSGF.

Try and find more stuff to de-clutter as I go around the house - but not in the loft or else I'd never emerge for weeks!!

Hugs sticks and spoons to everyone needing them. x

    Morning all

    Big hugs JJ

JTTOU the hospital is a couple of junctions up the A1 at S'nage, journey is fine apart from evening rush hour, parking and walking back to the hospital takes the time. Day off today though as my Aunt is visiting so I will hopefully have time to catch up a bit.

Going to have my shower in a moment once DS3 has gone and then straight to the flying catch up and frog munching.

Sorry to hear that Juliejim (((hugs)))HShangin.gif

    happy birthday NATTYHSthbdayparty-1.gif

I appear to have 'cured' my gammy leg. I had come to the conclusion that the draught from the window hitting my left side while I'm on the PC was the cause; so yesterday I wore extra layers and 2 pairs of socks and the aches have gone!

    oooooh

Just logged into my email to see an message from National Lottery HQ with 'some news about my ticket' from last night's Euromillions.

    Well - I won't be paying of everyone's mortgages - £2.70 :rotfl:

Better news from energy supplier though - payment dropping by £15 per month WOOT
