    Hi ATB

I am reading so please don't stop as you do keep me motivated! I have been extremely rubbish at posting on my own diary due to life being busy but popping in and reading whenever I can and it does motivate me to not spend/ OP when possible. I'm really excited on your behalf re sub 140s!
  • Don't worry, we're all reading...even if we don't always have time to post or feel like we have anything useful to say...we're here cheering you on every step of the way :j

    Good evening friends,

Thank you all for your kind comments :)

Today has been a NSD which is always pleasing :):) Once I have dropped the littlies off at their grandmas tomorrow I need to sit & crunch the numbers and hopefully work out a plan to be in the 40s by August :) I'm looking forward to some uninterrupted time at the computer doing my sums how sad am I :):o:)

Have lovely evenings all, I'm going to have a nice chilled beer now  xx

ETA - beer put on hold, I think DS is cutting a tooth and really won't settle :(

    Good Afternoon friends,

Gosh it has been a busy day so far in the ATB household. So far I have:
    • Taken the littlies to grandmas (half hour each way journey)
    • Been to the supermarket for some essentials
    • Batch cooked a chilli and a spag bol
    • Vacuumed the whole house
    • Done two loads of washing both of which are line drying
    • Done some paid work
    • Been to the post office
    • Done an online shop
Phew! In MFW news, I have amended my signature to simply show our starting mortgage balance on this journey and our current balance. I am delighted and amazed to report that since starting my diary we have overpaid £18,574.64! Wowzers!

    My current mini targets are:
    1. Get our balance to in the 40s by the end of September
    2. Get our balance to £145k by 1st January
I am keeping them simple - my mind explodes otherwise! These targets will keep us nicely on track for our journey

Have lovely afternoons all, I need ten minutes shut eye! x :):)

Hello ATB, I have just read you're diary from the beginning. As others have said, it's so inspiring! It has turned my frustratingly bad/tearful day and given me some motivation to do something!

My OH and I have just paid our 1st mortgage payment :j I would overpay from now but OH might need some convincing!! and I want to decorate, FTB down he road have just had a skip together and I'm envious!

I have no doubt that you will reach you're targets, probably sooner than you plan! Looking forward to being a regular reader!!!! :j

Hi LottieLou, thank you so much for reading. Bless you poppet we all have days like that sometimes, I am glad I have cheered you up a bit :):):) Whenever I have days like that, which I often do especially when the tiddlers are in full on whinge mode, I repeat the Elizabeth Taylor mantra "Put your lipstick on, pour yourself a drink and pull yourself together". Works for me! Of course the vino has to wait until evenings though so I generally have a cuppa ;)

Not much to report today. I have spent the whole day working and not had much time to consider personal finances. I have just made a £20 OP to keep the momentum flowing though.

Thursday treat tonight of nice pasta and a glass of cava, DH is home tomorrow night and I can't wait to see him, he's been away since Sunday lunchtime.

Have lovely evenings all xx:) :):)

    Good Morning friends,

I haven't slept a wink. We found out late yesterday that one of DH's main clients has gone under. They owe him thousands. Trying to piece it all together in my mind and work out a plan of attack but, as they had some overdue invoices with DH that we were waiting on being paid which now haven't, DH can't take his usual wage. impact on ATB household = huge.

I may be MIA for a while sorting this out folks. Speak soon, ATB x
