    Something running in Task Scheduler?
    1. start search and enter Task Scheduler (or just type this on the modern desktop)... and start the Task Scheduler
    2. select Task Scheduler Library on the left
    3. order the tasks (in the middle) in order of time last run

It should be obvious which task is doing the copy - you may have to look at the details of the tasks, specifically "Actions"

After refreshing I have 136 ish windows updates to install, should I stagger them and do them in little bits or just go for it and do the whole lot when I have a spare afternoon?

Do the whole lot as soon as its convenient for you. ("You can still work as normal while updating".) May need a couple of restarts.

It'll help if you download the updates but defer installing them (you may be in that state already?)

Have done all updates now..... IE was crashing before will see how it goes......

Now though laptop has lost connection to printer, as its windows 8 landlord had to download and install drivers I think, as installation cd wouldn't work on windows 8, it's an HP Deskjet 4100 series.... does anyone know what I need to install please?
