    Hi,
I am thinking of applying to AQA.I have received an app form and test.
Could anyone tell me how it works tax wise as i already have a job?
Also the app form asks for two refs, has anyone else supplied these?
    cheers

You have to register with HMS Revenue as self employed and you are responsible for paying your taxes.

You have to supply the two references. I don't think they actually check them. At least they didn't call mine.

Send in your form and do the test. AQA is a lot of fun and the money is not bad at all, once you start to get the hang of doing it properly. Just remember, quality counts more than speed. Good luck.

Same here. I really don't know what they're looking for. Who was your application marked by? Romany De Oliveira?

I'm still waiting for their decision, I sent my application back on 21/03/2008.

Still, it has been easter so I think I'm going to give them a couple more days before I start chasing them up.
  • I got rejected as well. :(
ALL DEBT NOW PAID OFF IN FULL 3 YEARS EARLY!
Lightbulb Moment Dec 2008 - DFD Nov 2016!
Debt at lightbulb moment - £9,440.03 - Payplan DMP - £100 per month
  • I got rejected too :( quite disappointed, thought my answers were pretty good, at least triple checked them all! Others thinking of trying again? Email said we have to wait 6 months?!
  • Oh my god. Looks like everyone is being rejected. I'll probably re-apply in 6 months as I don't want to take any risks seeing as it says you can only apply twice. I thought my answers were pretty good aswell and I've got an A in english so I havn't got any problems there. What a waste of time

Failed again  and this time I was so confident.

I really think that the least they could do is give pointers as to where I've gone wrong, despite so many applicants, it's just a cop out on their part.

They don't sound a nice company to work for anyway, least that's what I'm telling myself!
