  • What does induction entail please?

(Am not at this stage - only sent in the forms last night, but remain optimistic....just about!)
  • Mice_Elf, they tell you what you already know from reading the help files, and you respond "yes" or "ok".
  • Just an update for anyone that is interested - I thought it may be helpful for those wondering how lon the process takes.

I sent in my application on Thursday 15th, and heard back on Friday 22nd, saying I had been accepted and asking me to sign and send back the contract.

I sent back my signed contract vi email on Monday the 26th, and received an email back the same day. I organised my induction via Yahoo IM with my senior researcher yesterday (Tuesday) and it takes place at 8pm tonight!

Will let everyone know how it goes.

RichardJohn (Or anyone else who has been through the process!), I have my induction tonight.

Is it a pass/fail type thing, or do they literally just walk you through the details in the help files? Is it a test, or is it more of an in depth introduction.

Do you start answering your 30 questions straight afterwards?

Any help or advice gratefully received!

  • The induction is a just an informal chat on IM with an SR. Once you have done it you get a week to answer the 30 questions which are then marked by your SR and you go from there depending on the outcome of your review.
  • Thanks very much Andrew - you have put my mind at rest.

  • They just copy and paste chunks of info and you type 'ok' for everything. There are bits to do - a sample question to answer. Then you get the opportunity to ask questions. Then you are free to answer your 30 questions.

Dead easy, Rookery Mike. Hope you make loads of money.
  • Has anyone ever been turned down after the 30 questions? My first application wasn't accpeted but my second was ... now I'm worried it was just a fluke! lol

I'm just about to send back my signed contract via email.

Very giddy about it all I must say! lol

giddykipper, can I just ask when you sent in your application and when you got accepted? Mine seems to be taking forever, and if I'm not accepted, I want to be getting on with reapplying!
  • First time I applied it only took 4 days to come back but this time took about 10 days .... in fact on about day 6 I re-submitted it, just in case!
