Currently in all Focus stores, there is 60% off kitchens & Special Order Bathrooms and this is normally as far as they go. This is a standard offer that Focus normally run every so often. If it's Bishop Auckland, it's a new store and is not participating in the Liquidation sale so you're stuck at 60% off unless as you say, you use a discount card. AFAIK, the 60% off Kitchen offer is available to advantage card holders and Over 60's. Just remember that 60% off + 10% off is 64% off!!

Thanks for that sweep. So you can use the advantage card in conjuction with the sale prices - the small print seems to say otherwise.

Just have to find some way to obtain a card now....

to answer your question. In the Bedford store there was the advertised 60% with a hand written sign saying 'Extra 10% Off' - this extra 10% is off the already discounted price so it actually adds up to 64%.

Mind you, I'm not complaining - I got a bathroom suite that would normally be £1,237.50 for £445.50 and a kitchen that should have been £1,050.24 for £590.76.

Should anyone be thinking of buying any suites from the Bedford branch (the one next to the train station) then ask for Ripon - he was very helpful and knows his stuff.

Current rumours at work say that the discount on some areas is going up to 20% on Monday...

Although the website no longer explictly lists the closing stores, there is a page which says:

It may well be in liquidation, but 10% off everything and higher discounts on a few selected items hardly constituted a bargain when I was in there yesterday.
DW and I spent half an hour in there yesterday and came out with an £8.99 car wash brush. Hardly anything was tempting enough to look at, let alone buy.

re: the over 60's discount - i did see something in the Waterlooville store two weeks ago that as of x date they were no longer accepting the 60's discount.....

If they continue to increase the discount they will soon be down to the same price as other DIY stores. No great surprise that they have gone into liquidation nor any great loss.
