The Bedford stores go in 3-6 months according to the lost soul on the checkout.

I asked in the Linwood store today if and when they were closing and as usual they looked at me like I have spoken in some foreign language, then just shrugged, if anyone hears anything about the Renfrewshire stores can they post it on here please.

Focus DIY have been taken over and some of their stores are closing down. Click on the web site and check the store locator to see if any stores close to you are listed as STOCK LIQUIDATION.

Looks like the STOCK LIQUIDATION info for stores has been removed from the Focus website.

    Thanks Sooler..

If anybody knows of any store that is closing down and it's not list on the first page can they please PM me and I will add that store onto the main list. Also if anybody has the dates when the store will actually be closing can they add that as well.

To help slightly, from the original brief and emails we got at work (yes, I'm potenially a goner at the end of January), there are 52 stores in total. 42 Focus DIY and 10 No Frills. 2 are in Nottingham & 2 are in Bedford. This means there are approx 8 Focus stores missing from your list.

    Sweep,

I plan to go into the Bedford store tomorrow and order a bathroom suite and a kitchen. First Focus were offering 60% off - then they added another 10% on top of that. Do you think the reductions will go further? Also, the leaflet advertising the change says the reductions last up to 12th August. Do you think they'll continue after this date?

Shame Focus is going - I have to say they've always been OK with me - but it always seemed odd to have 3 of them so close together in a medium sized town like Bedford.

Hope you keep your job, Sweep.
  • I hope the staff get first pick on mega reductions,it must be a real downer if you know that you've only got a few weeks of work left and no I don't work for them nor do I know anyone who works in Focus,my local store seems to have avoided the chop.
Good luck to all who get the bargains but remember the golden rule it's only a bargain if you're going to use it :D

AFAIK, the 'liquidation' stores will match the offers that the normal Focus stores are doing + 10% until after the August Bank Holiday. Also, any special order items (Bath suites etc) will then stop so order now!

As staff we get our usual 20% on top of any reductions, so we are getting 28% off at the moment. (20% off + 10% off = 28% off). Like any company, it is frowned upon to reserve stock for further discount (Like that's going to stop us!).

EMcG / Sweep, I'm about to order a kitchen (actually I was when there was 50% off plus another 10% of that making 55% in total), but was pleased I left it as the discount went up to 60% off.

Now that some stores are closing I'm concerned I may lose out if I order now and kitchens are discounted further...

My question to EMcG is where did you see 70% off the kitchens? The website states only 60% and I don't think you can use an advantage card in conjunction with the discount (perhaps Sweep can verify for me)?

Also, does Sweep think further discounts to kitchens will come into effect? The one I'm after is from Bishop Auckland branch and is not one scheduled for closure. The kitchen itself is only stocked at larger Focus superstores...

Thanks to anyone who can help.
