I have received an update on baby Anna from her father: she is still in a critical condition, but much better than last week, and the doctors are optimistic. Thank you for all your Flylady posivibes and prayers - and please keep them coming. She is still very vulnerable.

    Welcome Moosegoose.
Glad you haven't burnt the house down, Kaz.

Sat and watched yesterday's CTM with DH this evening. Could have cried.

Trying to write a couple more letters before I fall into bed....

Pleased dustymum is recovering enough to come home, hope the treatment is successful xxx
Ouch Kaz, I don't have a fire blanket in my kitchen either. Will make a note.

Not really loitering as I want to get to bed - rather early start tomorrow.

But wanted to share that I lost 4lb on my first week at sl!mming world. So rather pleased with that and very motivated to continue (and have done tomorrow's packup accordingly). Quite liking all the cooking, forgotten how much I enjoyed it...

  • Thanks for the new thread Natty!

    I've had a good weekend as a Flylady. :D

We did loads of cleaning over Saturday and Sunday and decluttered lots of bad clutter attracting areas.

I cleaned out some shelves today and they are nicely organised!

One of the main problems Mr AMS and I had was that we didn't have enough hangers...so we asked in one of the shops if they had spare hangers and they were more than happy to give us some as they had an overload of them! So we walked away with a huuuuge carrier bag of hangers - free of charge! We were pretty delighted. Although we did pay 5p for the bag...but it goes to charity I think. So new hangers mean less clutter on shelves.

All in the name of the Flylady!

    xx

I'm in this week in theory.
Monday: [STRIKE]finish writing report[/STRIKE].[COLOR="rgb(153, 50, 204)"]Sent off[/COLOR] Mr N has visitor in afternoon so will[STRIKE] tidy up downstairs a bit[/STRIKE] - it isn't bad at all and Mr N does a bit now.credit to Mr N who did most of the tidying. I filed piled-up payslips, receipts etc from kitchen in office
Tues: Would love to get back to zumba but not sure how realistic that is. NOT as I have remembered if I don't get my pay claim in this week I won't get paid. Working at uni 11.30-[STRIKE]4.30[/STRIKE]. 2hrs cancelled. Eve choice between webinar (good for work, counts as training) and [STRIKE]flower club..........[/STRIKE] reluctantly the webinar as it only takes an hour and is done at home.
Wed: working at uni 10-4. Hopefully friend visiting from Dorset (primarily to go to her aunt's funeral on Wed at Upminster) will be brought to my house by her cousin, otherwise I'll collect her from a station somewhere!
Thurs: home with friend (and Mr N of course) catching up.
Fri: this is where it gets tricky. Friend ideally needs to be dropped at station around 10am. I actually need to be at uni (45 mins drive) by 9.30, feeding horse on the way. Will need to think about that one.
Sat: think horse being collected. Will be an emotional week.

In between that lot is looking after horse, looking after Mr N, getting house reasonable for range of visitors, cooking for visitors, keeping dust under control, feeding birds, doing paperwork for work. Let's hope weather doesn't affect too much of the above. Also need to set up Visa bill to be paid, book dentist, continue to throw stuff away.

Apparently we do Lynne.. I'd not heard of it.. ty ... seems to be full of requests though.. for touring caravans, firewood, and big electrical appliances.. and leather suites!! !! Some are a bit rude and some are difficult to decipher what is written.. good job I can read dyslexic, doctor and dyslexic doctor!

My bathroom doeth sparkle!! I mopped the walls, and scrubbed the tiles with the bog brush.. chucked EVERYTHING.. literally.. potties, mouldy toys, everything.. FLING!!! My children will hate me.. My bathroom is minimalisted.. I don't even have a spare loo roll on show!!

The landing is rammed.. but the stuff is bagged and ready to be hoiked in the front room ready to be dropped at the chazzer.. I am collecting it for 4 weeks and trying to get as much as possible thrown out.. I WILL have some space back and some semblance of order in here.. it is a little easier now Dot does a few hours at nursery and I can turf OH out to the gym and to play with other like minded.. nerds! lol I get so much more done by myself in the house!

I need a new fish tank.. mine is fadoofled.. it is so incredibly old I cannot get a new lid but my idiot cat gets in.. the quick way, if it has no lid and the light has popped and I daren't replace it as it is almost touching the water due to the state of collapse and being imperial sizes nothing can be replaced.

Oooh FB selling pages.. some twit will sell me one cheap won't they?! Another thing I need to part with cash for!

Tiddles wobbly tooth fell out today revealing a small cavity in the side of the adjoining tooth.. back to dentist for her!

OH is at opticians tomorrow with Dot.. that should be fun.. she hates going out, she hates people touching her and she is incapable of sitting still! Bring it on!!

nest time now Pixie has stopped her 5 minutes wailing.. if we go up she won't go back to sleep and ends up in my bed which means I get no sleep!

Rubbish out, recycling out, kitchen swept, composting out and bins out.. been on a mission to fill wheelie bins today!!

Morning all. Hope you're all ok.

I forgot to declutter something yesterday so will need to find two things today to keep up with my resolution.

Still have 3 rooms to clean windows in this morning before the paid stuff.

Have a great day everyone and be careful if there is snow where you are.
Spend less now, work less later.
