Morning all
Wages have gone in, money has been moved and the mortgage calculator is showing I've not only got rid of May 2030 but April has bitten the dust too :j :j :j Yay !!!  Thats a great start to the week and will motivate me to think more about the summer challenge too, it shouldn't be too long til I can kiss goodbye to the 30's completely and get down into the 2029's

Wow.... thats a serious level of overpayment, benben, I am *full* of admiration. You're well on track for your £3000 overpayment this year, thats wonderful. I'm continually torn about overpaying my debt or my mortgage - well, not the mortgage so much, cos I could claim it back if need be. But I keep thinking about the three big structural things that need to be done - rewiring, replumbing, and rebuilding a retaining wall. Very scary. I'd *love* to use the snowball calculator the way you do, it must feel great!2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Thankyou KC, I must admit I wouldn't be half as motivated without the calculators to track my progress
Today I have spent 4.00 on belly dancing class and 2.30 on lunch ... not good seeing as I budgeted 10.00 to last me till friday, only got 3.70 left for the next four days :rolleyes:Mortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

I've had a long day today for me, I nipped into Tesco Express this morning and bought some salad and chicken and cereal bars for lunches for this week 6.40  , then after school I went to proper Tesco and spent 36.00 on food for the week. This means I'm already 5.00 over budget on food for the month (37.50 a week). But I think I've got enough food to last a bit more than a week so hopefully it will even itself out
I had ds open evening tonight which was fine, no surprises really, it was nice to see ds work but it highlighted how far behind some of the others he is with his writingBig effort required there over the summer
Then I had to try and fix dads computer, which I couldnt do, so I will need to try again tomorrow nightNow I just need to try and relax a bit as I'm knackered before I go to bed or I won't sleep

Morning! I am still sleepy this morning, its going to be a long day
I have logged on to aqa this morning and done one question which will be enough to make sure I'm not deleted off the system, its going to be tough doing loads over the summer, hopefully if I can make some money elsewhere I won't need to do as much of it

Today was almost a no spend day except for 40p on a cake at breaktime
Ds had is child trust fund statement today and he's eared 20.00 interest, so that was a nice surprise for him and we talked about how a man in the bank gives him some extra pennies to say thank you for keeping his pennies in his bank
Ds was very tired after a late night last night, and was in bed and asleep before 7 tonightSo I've had my bath, cleaned ds shoes, put the washing on and its only 8pm :j which leaves me plenty of time for a mooch aorund on here tonight and hopefully an early night

Hello again,
Just wanted to drop in and say hi after being away offline after moving house! Broadband is back thank goodness and I'm back on this site trying to get motivated and organised!!
Myself and 2 girlies very happy and settled in our lovely new house, no regrets about selling up the old one, just shame I am only renting now and don't own it!
Been catching up on your posts - BB you're still as organised as ever, can you send me some of your motivation please?! I must, must start writing lists! My girls are away with their dear father this weekend so will try use the time to sort out what I need to do and essential spends - need a chest of drawers, my undies are all in a cardboard box!!!
I have a few pence out of the house sale and must get my £3k credit card paid off, not fritter the money as I would have done last year. Was going to use £2k to buy a car but being sensible I know my p-reg Corsa is doing fine, never had a problem with it so why change?
Sorry, I seem to be hijacking your thread with my tale...maybe I should start my own diary - I just think no-one would be interested!!!!!
Bye for now... (nice to be back reading all this..!!)I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Hijack away all you like Milly, I like it when people post on here
Hope you enjoy your new home
