Hi there,
Sunny here in Bath so got some washing out, but don't think it'll stay dry for long judging by the clouds in the distance!
My girls are off to their Dad's at 12.30, after gym club, so I have a quiet weekend. I'm hoping to do lots of things, but I'm not feeling very organised, i don't know where to start!
How do you all keep organised? Do you write it all down? I have so many things buzzing around my head to do that I forget most of them til I'm in bed!!! Or I start one thing and get distracted by something else!!!
I need to start a big notebook I think, write down things to do etc, stuff to remember. Also, do you all keep tabs on daily spending? I did a few weeks ago but in the house move I stopped, now just need bucket loads of motivation to keep me on track and stop any unnecessary spending, something I can be very guilty of!
Anyway, have a good day everyone. I shall try and be productive!

Yes - lists on here, spreadsheets, notebooks, scraps of paper...... I have the lot! I still forget stuff but at least having a list gives me the motivation of being able to cross things off!0

I have lists everywhere, I couldn't sleep if I didn't as it all suddenly re-appears in your mind just as you drift off
We've been to the library (75p fine  ) and the bank and the bakers. I spent 3.60 in there on bread, milk, a caramel slice and a gingerbread manOh and I bought 3 packs of those little flags for sandcastles in another shop (15p a pack), haven't seen them for years and a sandcastle just isn't the same without them

Ok, well I still haven't written any lists, I just wander around to see what needs to be done!
But....I have been productive in that I finally got round to ringing up and paying off my mastercard - all £3k of it! As we sold our house 2 weeks ago I had a little bit of money from it, so have paid off the card. I was paying about £100 a month on it, minimum payment and most of that was interest.
The old me would have left the debt and used the house sale money to go on holiday! I have a couple of catalogues to pay off too - no more than £500 in total. Then my only debt is a LLoyds loan of £4700, which I will try and make overpayments on.
So not a huge debt left, but I just need to stay here so I don't run the debt back up again. I was meant to use that loan money to pay off the credit card last year, but I never got round to it and just used the money on clothes etc, shocking now, but it cheered me up at the time!!
Anyway, I'mm off to plan meals for the 3 of us for next week, then go to Tesco soon, hopefully it won't be too busy.
Bye for now...:beer:I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Wow, well done you Milly  That must feel great to have cleared a big chunk of debt in one go like that :T :T Stick around and we'll soon have your loan gone tooMortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

Well, my list is still the same, I decided to go out and make the most of the weather and have been at Mums and cleaned out and hoovered the car which was another job I meant to put on the list
Then we went to hobbycraft  a fatal place to go if you're trying not to spend money  I managed to restrain myself to 8.50, but that included a bumper box of crayons, a big scrapbook, loads of foam shapes and foam sheets to cut up and some painting stuffI'm planning on getting ds to keep a scrapbook over the summer and hopefully this may encourage some writing
My parents gave ds 1.00 pocket money too which he has put in his piggy

Hiya,
Yes I'm really tired too, sat here on the sofa with laptop. I made it to Tesco earlier - nice and quiet on a Sat eve, funnily enough! My girls are at their Dad's so all quiet here. Made myself a risotto with some leftover chicken, no ready meal for once!!
I bought myself a lovely new notebook in Tesco, ready to have a page a day full of things to do, remnders and list of spends...will see how it works!
I'm pleased with the mastercard going, but it doesn't half feel weird to get rid of £3,000 in one go like that! Still, just the few catalogues (2 are interest free anyway) and the loan left.
Looking forward to my new, organised life, in our new house now we're settled. It's a huge relief to be completely finished financially with the ex as he's a complete nightmare. He's not paid me any maintenance for the girls for this month tho - says I can have the money we agreed on the 24th when he'spaid - but that's nothing out of the wages he got o 24th June, so I'm bl***y furious right now with him, he thinks it's fine to not give it to me!!!
Arghhhh...anyway going to go write a list in my new book of thigns to do tomorrow as I'm child-free til 5!!
Bye,:beer:I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
I do sympathise about the ex, why is it some blokes think a few quid here and there is sufficient?? My ex does pay on time but don't get me started on the pathetic amount the government think is enough from him
Anyway, the kitchen cupboards are sorted, they are full but not with stuff I particularly eat :rolleyes:I am going to make an effort to use some of it up though and hopefully save some money on this weeks food bill as I have overspent last week, I just need to add up by how much now
