Diary of my new life !!!

I've been having a typical sunday morning mooch around on here and having played about with some mortgage stuff have realised that when my fixed rate ends next year I will obviously have to pay a higher mortgage figure due to interest rates. To keep my monthly payments about the same I would need to reduce my mortgage to 45K  So far I'm on track to get it down to about 49k by next June, so its a bit of a kick up the bum time for me, I need to look harder at ways of doing this  ....
I don't think I can make more savings on my outgoings, other than sorting out my life assurance as I think that could be reduced, but there are tins I could do to bring in more moneyMy plan is to raise 1000.00 over the summer holidays, I have 6 weeks of no work so this will be like a mini-project for me
I have 3 weeks until we break up, so I need to start formulating some plans:
- Matched betting for a start, I really MUST get going on this. No more excuses!!
- AQA too, I haven't done any for ages and had an email today saying they will terminate me if I don't do some this week
- I don't have much left to ebay indoors but will check out the garage again and try and do another car boot sale or two
- Log in to all the survey sites I use and check my balances
Todays list though involves:- Clean guinea pigs
- change beds
- ironing
- hoover
- clean bathroom
- collect ds
- write ds party invites
- check online banking and do july budgets
- email barclays re. money they've taken out for an insurance i'd cancelled
- look for ideas for teacher presents for the end of term

Isn't it strange...nice guys have to grow on us, and it takes time, thats for sure.

Friend came round for coffee and we had a good natter about last night
I took her home and have done a few bits since I got back but I don't have the same enthusiasm I had this morning
Perhaps once ds is home I'll do a bit more then
I have got a few bits done off the list, I've done the guinea pigs, hoovered, cleaned the bathroon, emptied the dishwasher and done some washing. I've also started a new thread about my summer challengeand now I'm going to spend an hour planning bits for it, I've found a nice new shiny notebook in the cupboard so I may jot a few things down in there to inspire me

 :rotfl: You don't have the same enthusiasm? Have you *read* the list of what you've done??? To be fair, I know what you mean - doing something cos its got to be done is quite different from doing it cos you feel enthusiastic. Take care of yourself, some "me" time might be indicated. Hmm, I think I should take my own advice there - just printing something off, and I'm done.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

That challenge sounds perfect - you would be able to make that amount, for sure. Do that 4 times and your mortgage is where you need it to be.......piece of cake!
I hope your enthusiasm returns this evening - although as KC says, you have already done more than most of us!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
