Well done, HBS! That's brilliant!
Melly, I know it's a little thing but you are doing well with the smoothies right now despite everything you are going through. Made me smile to read that!
We are both very excited, JM! This time tomorrow we will be on our way! We are almost packed, not much to do now and WaSp's lovely friend is supplying us with lots of stuff so we don't need to bring the house with us. I have 7GB of data on a dongle, I hope that is enough for internet usage? It sounds enough for 10 days. I will need lots of time indoors (probably in bed) if I go out regularly so I need internet and I need to keep up with everyone here, too!
Good point on the new thread! Unless anyone else wants to do it I will start a new one later today.

How exciting - a nice, shiny new thread
Thats what I thought nice and shiny, I like shiny things LOL!!!
Anyway another bad night only 6hrs sleep. hanging at the moment :rotfl:
3 Trips to the tip to get rid of green waste!!! Its never ending wish I was not feel well enough to start it. But must carry on. Got to dig the roots out now. OMG 2ft round and 1ft down and still no where near getting out. And thats one of about 5 I need to do!!!!!!
I look like I have been attacked by a cat with the scratches on me. But hey how. I am happy for the first time in a very long time. And shattered but hey the sun is shining.
And I might go and have a cat nap in a while LOL!!! just to tide me over before I go and do battle again. Bought some strawberry plants for 20p each. I got a proper planter for them to go in thats been lurking in the shed for years.
And bought an obelisk rather than canes for my runner beans. Cost more but will last longer and look better.
Been spending money I don't have. Oh well it is to make the garden look nice.
Right catch everyone later on the new shiny sparkly thread
Yours

Brilliant news, HBS!
melly, your health should take priority over EVERYTHING else. I used to run a stroke charity, and I can't tell you how many people were regretful that they hadn't paid more attention to warning signs!Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0 -

I wish I could thank you more than once. My husband was in hospital when he had his. I dread to think what would have happened if not. As he was sleeping down stairs due to being very ill. And I would go straight out to work and not look on in him.
Please don't leave it a lot more damage then you know can happen.

Thanks WaS. I managed a piece of pizza (I need to eat have dropped to jutty hips size which is bad)
It should JM - I am blase as apart from the eye none of this is new, the migraine means I can lose my arm for a couple of weeks.
We only have what I earn coming in, if I get admitted, which was what panicked me last night, there is no safety net, the situation with the HA is such that they will take me to court when we owe them a penny. They took us to court a couple of years ago for less than three weeks rent arrears with falsified documents luckily I had lots of evidence.
Minimising stress is the current name of the game. I will go to the lovely TIA unit I was frequenting about 4/5 years ago when I had a big run of hemiplegic migraines which left me exhausted.0 -
How can I be this excited about WaS's holiday?? I'm not even going!0

I know, same here! :rotfl:
Melly, you can not afford to be blase about these things. A friend of my Mam's had a TIA, and then went on to have a full stroke. I'm sure the doctors explained the consequences fully to you, hence the F word.
If you get admitted, then it's obviously needed, your health comes first before anything. Surely the HA would take into consideration your health problems?
HBS, well done on winning the competition! :j0
