I need a rant! I'm not expecting any of you to plough through this, but it's vent or smash plates and I like my plates. I can't rant to anyone IRL about this as however angry I am (fuming!), I know it wouldn't be fair to share this with anyone that actually knows FOH.

He was out drinking last night - same as Friday night, and tonight, and every other weekend. I don't mind a pint, a meal, a local band, but all he ever does is get steaming drunk. Week in, week out. Definitely not my idea of fun (not that I was ever invited). Last night I had dinner with a friend then home to watch the end of Eurovision (guilty pleasure lol). FOH was out drinking, as ever.

Was woken up about 3am by the noise of him throwing up. Irritating, but not particularly unusual. I've been that drunk, but not for well over a decade. He's in his mid-40s and still gets so drunk he's sick a good few times a year.

I got up at 8 and went to have a shower. Only to find sh*t all over the bathroom floor. The floor, the bath mat, the toilet seat. That was in addition to the dried-on vomit on the toilet. Fuming doesn't even come close.

I know from past experience that there's no point trying to speak to him at that time in the morning after a session, and I needed to get ready to go out so I had to scrub and disinfect the bathroom before I could have a shower. Got home again at 11.30 and he was still asleep. Woke him up and it's fair to say he was made aware of my displeasure. Made him check the bed and there was sh*t in that too. Including on the pillowcase. The pillowcase! How is that even possible??

He stripped the bed and has taken the bedding to his house to sort it. I've told him there's not a chance in hell he's sleeping here again. Legally I can't back that up as still no completion date but I'm not in the mood to be argued with right now.

He did his usual "I'm sorry, I'm p*ssed off with myself" but sorry doesn't remove the image of that pillowcase!

I'd only changed the bed and cleaned the bathroom the day before. When I go to sleep in a nice clean bed, I expect to wake up in a nice clean bed - sudden outbreaks of dysentery aside. I really don't think that's unreasonable.

Ok - apologies about the massive rant, and the rather unsuitable subject matter!

Urgh, that is so awful. There is no way I could have cleaned it up. You have gone WAY beyond the call of duty, imho.

He's had the keys for his rented place for nearly a month now. He's paying rent, council tax etc there, and still paying into joint account. The money alone would be enough to make me move!

He was saying on Friday again that he didn't want to go, that he knew he'd been useless, that he'd change. Blah, blah, blah. Told him that's not happening, that its too late and that he really, really needs to just.move.out

He's had his last chance to do this nicely, he has to go today.

    After that exhibition, definitely.

Tea, do not feel guilty for shouting! Poo in the bed, or anywhere, from someone who is not incapacitated by illness, is never acceptable!

Do not feel sorry for shouting!

Absolutely agree. Totally beyond the pail.

Tea, that's awful! Like Pyxis says, if that's not a good enough reason for a rant, then it don't know what is?

You have the patience of a saint. :A I'd have been tempted to leave it for him to clear up (but like you say, you needed the bathroom), but going by his attitude lately, he'd have probably just left it.

    Hugs x x

Hugs for Melly too x x Will it clear up on it's own? If not, get down to that TIA unit, sooner you go, sooner you feel better.

A lifetime ago, my ex used to get totally blotto, drink and dope. Being very pregnant, I didn't go to the pub with him much, certainly not on late-nighters.
One night, he was so drunk, I caught him about to pee into the wardrobe. He was so out of it, he thought it was the loo.

However, another time, I woke up because I was wet. Yup, he had peed,in the bed and up my back too. He was too out of it to rouse, so I got myself cleaned up and spent the rest of the night on the sofa.

That's when I started to stop wanting him in my life.

(Ps. He sorted the bed out. Once he was compus mentis.)

    Yuck, I agree. How repulsive.

Tea - I'm so sorry you have had such a rough time over the past year or so, but honestly this guy sounds like a manchild, and you don't need one of those in your life.

Here's to him moving out and you moving on x

Hi MV, long time no chat! Hope alls good x

Have just watched the last episode of Atlantis to cheer me up. But then I realised there's no series 3 so that didn't help!!

It sounds silly, but the mess isn't even the most annoying thing (infuriating though it is). It's the mentality of finding that kind of night out fun in the first place. Each to their own and all that, but drinking that much stopped appealing to me shortly after I left uni. If I'm with someone (and I'd be v happy on my own for the forseeable) I want it to be someone that I can share things with. I want to go for a wander round a national trust house, a pub lunch, watch a DVD, cook breakfast together, play scrabble....anything other than spending the weekend apart then clearing up someone else's sh*t. That is not a relationship!
