  • Just popped in before I start on my essay. Doctors dad rang are having a meeting now go discuss if they will take me or not and the practise manager said there is a 90% chance they will say yes.

Am trying a mixed approach - Kalms and biscuits :rotfl:

He didn't do it at all for the first year we had him. Did it a few times last summer. He had a vet check last year and physically was fine. He hadn't done it for months again but it's been twice this week - including once when I was in the room with him!

He doesn't go out during the winter (useless with cat flap, so relies on back door being open, and never seems bothered about outside in bad weather) so am wondering if it's somehow related to him being outside. Although he's been going out again for a few months and it's only just kicked off again. There are a few other cats around the neighbourhood but none that close, and he's never been in a fight or anything.

Hate knowing my baby is feeling worried and insecure about something and I can't put it right :(

Our first cat Charlie started getting stressed when new neighbours moved in with their cat. It was deaf and had the weirdest meow ever. I don't know if that freaked him out, or just the fact there was a new cat in his territory? Anyhow, he started over grooming and had bald patches.

The cat we have now is a right bruiser, he's frightened of nothing....apart from vets (he absolutely hates them with a vengeance!). He's even curious about the 'vortex of doom!' (Hoover!), but, he had a fight the other week (got a gunky ear at the moment) and I think it's shaken his confidence a bit. As he gets older, he's not as cocky as he was.

Who knows what goes on in their fluffy little brains! Maybe you should take him to the vets again for an 'MOT' to get him checked over, just incase he's maybe got a urine infection or something? I hope things calm down with him soon. :)

it's only just kicked off again.
Could be that spring has suddenly sprung in his brain and he's marking his boundaries to warn other gentlemen cats to keep away.
.................:)....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

Could be. He's been done so shouldn't (in theory) but looking for ladies. But I guess he could still be marking his territory. He's definitely marking, as opposed to just weeing in the wrong place.

Although, as I told him, there are no other cats hiding in the bookcase in the spare bedroom so there really was no need to pee in there!

Maybe moving stuff about has revealed new scents to him?

I'm feeling a bit fragile today, for no very good reason. On the plus side, my little girl (who is actually in her late 20s) will be here later today. And I've finally cracked the relaxation breathing. Who knew it would take over four months to learn to breathe?

Now I'm going to pluck up courage to hang two loads of washing outside.

Phew - just heard back from new company (was getting a bit worried they'd changed their mind!) Had email from HR person to say thanks for copies of certificates, sorry for delay in replying (!) and that they'll send me info next week about my first day.

Oh good heavens this is actually happening!:eek:
  • Wow tea that's great!

It doesn't sound as though you feel like celebrating it Tea, but all the same - you applied, they picked you as the best for the job. Whoohoo! New starts are scary - but you know you'll be good.

As soon as you said tart, Georgie I thought oooh, big strawberry tart with cream! Then I realised. Not that I'm craving something very unhealthy or anything...

    What's a lavender tart, then?

Wheeee! You can start looking forward to it, now!

Is P-cat your only cat? I can't remember. If so, he's probably just picking up that change is afoot, and so feels the need to mark.

When I had four cats, they would all wee indoors at one point or another, despite having a litter tray and a garden. They were all neutered. It was a pain as I had a shag-pile carpet! (This was the late '70s! It's all hard floors now! Much easier!)
I assumed it was part of the pecking order thing, but was a right pain.

    I'm in a clique! It's a clique of one! It's a unique clique!
    I love

  • Ok my day turned a little bad. The other sugery just rang. Well it seems the other doctors haven't shown any registration papers on my system. So no one knows if I'm a patient, a temporary patient or just someone they helped!
