Rhubarb and tablespoon crumble?
Let's try "Guess the Mystery Ingredient!"
Edit. Eeek! Remember to cut any leaves off the rhubarb!(I just lurve spiders!)

Hahahahahaha! I just burst out laughing at guess the mystery ingredient, it could be anything! I have a container of rice next to the sugar container, I need to watch out for that or it could turn out rather crunchy! WaSp is dealing with the removal of leaves and chopping, I don't trust myself not to make a leaf crumble and throw the rhubarb away!

My grandad used to grow both of them, and crab apples, tomatoes and mint! I grew up loving all of them!
When I was driving past the fields of lambs today, I was thinking of winding down the window and shouting Mint Sauce!
Also, darn those narrow country roads and having to reverse a 4x4 back down them to a passing point, I nearly ended up in a ditch more than once!0 -

You have just jogged a memory for me about my grand mother. She was a good cook and did stews etc.
But I know that a the foil from a milk bottle and part of a metal scourer was found in food.
Mind you she had a duck egg blue aga and they have a bottom warming oven and she once put in a tub of margarine to soften it. It was rather melted by the time it was remembered LOL!!!!Waves_and_Smiles wrote: »Oooh, calley I have strawberries! Ok, they are going in, too!

Aw, wish I could share it with you all! I used to really love cooking before the memory problems. It was a much loved hobby and I used to cook as many varied foods as possible. I still have to make this Simnel cake, that will definitely happen in the coming week!Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

When I chop the rhubarb and put it in the oven proof dish, I always add orange juice. Looks a bit weird but is mushes down beautifully.
I want rhubarb crumble too.
Other mystery ingredient will be a fairy ornament I reckon as WaS will decide a rhubarb leaf makes a great natural addition to her fairy display, but when she throws out the leaf she will drop the fairy into the crumble.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -
Hahahahaha! I quite like the idea of fairies decorating a crumble! I have orange juice, too so shall add that. The contributions to making my dinner yummy are much appreciated!Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France
