Having mopped the hall a big black ball of fluff just thought skidding down it would be fun.
Let's mop the hall again lol0 -
There are very few ads that I really like, but this was one! I think it's brilliant!
(WaS, I think it's quite safe for you to watch! There's a lovely happy ending!)

I am attempting to NVQ again. The written work is going well, I am struggling with the observations. In part because I need to phone people with my line manager listening to talk through their options with them. And I am finding that although people are agreeing when I ask them, when it comes to it they're not answering the phone. I can understand why - I'm a bit phone avoidance myself at times - but it's not helping my evidence gathering!
Could you record the call (you would have to let the person know you are doing so for training and quality reasons). Then your line manager could listen to it afterwards with you. The downside of course being that they can't intervene during the call.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -
I loved that video, Pyxis! Go fishie!
Well done on the weightloss, whitewing! It must be so much better to be able to move more freely.
On the subject of eating, WaSp and I are making stew later. WaSp suggested because he know's I am hanging myself over the grilled oven glove incident and he is attempting to give me some confidence back. He will be chopping vegetables and handling heavy pans, I will be putting things in pans and telling him what needs to be included. Then I am going to attempt to make a crumble. If WaSp deals with the oven part I hopefully can't mess that up.Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

Shall I tell you one of my biggest fears. Cooking for other people. My husband was fine but for other people I was/am so scared of poisoning people.

WaS, if it's lamb stew, then crumble, lay a place for me!
(Says the person who has just eaten a sausage and vegetable medley stir fry/stew thing!)
Calley, have you thought of investing in a cook's thermometer? Then if the core temperature of the cooked dish is right, you should be ok!(I just lurve spiders!)

I used to be scared of cooking for other people but that quickly went I worked in a residential home and we staff had to cook dinners with the residents if they wanted to. I was producing a meal for 10 once a week so had to get over my fear pretty fast! I was terrified the first few times.
WaSp is right by suggesting we cook a meal together, my inclination is to avoid cooking entirely after I mess up but avoidance won't help. Far better that I get back on the proverbial horse and try again with supervision this time. It is indeed lamb stew!
I really hope you feel better soon, melly. Try to rest if you can with everything else going on. I am still looking for a cuddly grey alien after seeing yours!Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France
