Hi melly. I can't sleep either. Struggling with withdrawal from a change over in meds and suffering from chills. I know I have to ride it out but its hard when I know I need to be up for work in less than 4 hours.

Hahahahaha! Ok, that cheered me up, JM. Thank you!

The memory thing is so weird, it's not like I forget how to do something, it is as if I never knew. The whole part of the memory about it is just absent. Then something goes wrong and I remember after being reminded and I wonder what I was (or wasn't) thinking of. It isn't forgetting, it is that the memory is just erased for a time. Apparently it is connected to psychosis according to my psychiatrist but it is so frustrating because I really can't cook a meal for myself, I can't even manage a snack! I can know perfectly well how to do something I have done hundreds of times before but then the ability just goes missing and there is nothing there in it's place. It's apparently quite common to the more severe psychotic illnesses but is something that is rarely spoken about, chemical imbalances are ridiculous sometimes.

So frustrated at myself and now WaSp is frustrated with me, too and telling me not to try to even make coffee if he is having a nap. I suppose it makes me even more certain that being alone for 3 days while WaSp goes to Milliefleur's party isn't an option.

Sorry - I'm way behind on this, having spent a weekend on the garden.
I've been reading about Structural Dissociation, and this is something that gets mentioned quite a lot. It's even it the tests for dissociative conditions "Being able to do something really well one time---and then not being able to do it at all at another time." and "Totally forgetting how to do something that you know very well how to do (for example, how to drive, how to read, how to use the computer, how to play the piano, etc.)." are two examples of the test questions. How do they decide whether in your case it's a symptom of your DID or of psychosis? Hope you don't mind me asking.

I've been missing for several days, and I'm just catching up on the thread. I see I've missed the chance to tell you the Knickers on the police car story, the coal in the washing machine story and the mole catching story.
No doubt other opportunities will arise.

Whitewing - that's fantastic weight loss - I know how hard you have to work to do that. I quite like saunas, but steam rooms are even better. If you go round a few times from steam to shower or plunge pool, then spend half an hour laid down under a big towel, you come out feeling fantastically relaxed and CLEAN.

Pyxis - you were brave! It's so easy to let difficult things drift on for fear of speaking. I'm glad you feel relief.

I missed the rhubarb crumble, and it's one of my favourites!. Are there any leftovers?

In other news - we have bought an ancient campervan. It's something we have fancied for a long time, but now the purchase is agreed I'm petrified. I like being at home, it feels secure, and I suspect people will want be sociable if we go to a campsite. OH is naturally quiet, so sociability was always my job, and I don't think I have much at the moment. Talking online is more than enough of a challenge.

Stoodles, definitely think we need the knickers on a police van story.

I feel exhausted. Didn't get to sleep until well after 4am and I was so cold I was wearing my jammies and dressing gown. Have to work today so no doubt it's going to be a nightmare of a day where everything goes wrong.

Nope, sorry! You aren't going to get away with that teaser!

Knickers on the police car..............tell all!

Coal in the washing machine..........tell all!

    Mole-catching...............................tell all!

We love a good story, and three good stories are three times as nice!

What better on a rainy, blustery Monday morning!

    We're waiting! :D

You know it's going to be one of those days when you're doing your hair and out of the corner you eye you spot the cat, p**ing all over your favourite boots, the carpet and some furniture . Just how I like to start the week.

Had to try and wash the carpet, move the bookcase thing and work out what else it might have gone on. By which point my black trousers were covered in dust (and who knows what else?!) so had to get changed.

FOH* could not have been less help unless he'd actually peed on the floor too. Just went and got his breakfast, didn't even feed P cat so I had that to sort as well.

*still resolutely refusing to move. Have chased solicitor for completion date but they're not being helpful. I can't do anything till it's officially sorted as he's still perfectly entitled to live there until then.

Have to spend the week trying to show a temp (who is new to the business and has never worked in an office before) how to do my job. She seems lovely, but I could definitely do without it.

It's raining. I'm too hot. I have evil PMT (you may be able to tell :rotfl:).

Right - off to catch up with what I missed on here over the last few days....
