    Aww, baby.

It's awful when you feel like that.

    What's brought this on?
 Don't know what I'm doing, but doing it anyway...

The point is you know what's wrong (depression after mania) you've been through this before and presumably you've been given coping strategies to help you.

    You can carry on.

Is there no one you can call in a crisis, like this?

Rest. Take care of yourself. Stop checking your 'phone for replies, you'll only make yourself sick with worry.

    MessedUp are you ok?

I fell asleep about 9.15 without logging out.

I hope you've managed to get some sleep. I'm glad you got a reply from your friend.

Would it help to speak to your parents? They would be devastated if anything happened to you. So would the friend who upset you. Be kind to them, and hold on.
You are not alone, you know. You have us.
You can be heard for a little while on here.

Be kind to us too. We want you to stay with us.

Look, you have just broken up with Beau.....that's why you have crashed. Delayed reaction.
Your reason knows it was for the best, but your heart has gone flop-bot.

It will pass. I promise you it will pass. Just hold on and it will pass.
Think of WaS and her psychotic episodes. She knows that she just has to hold on and it will pass.
It's like flu. You feel absolutely ghastly, the pits, but you know your body will beat it. Well, you have 'flu' of the brain, and your body will beat this.
And we're here for you, precious!

MessedUp, regarding your friend being upset and you don't know why...........
I found out something yesterday from a friend. Two years ago we were going somewhere for the evening. It was not far from where she lived, but I picked her up in the car, along with a friend of hers I had never met. I didn't really want to go to this thing. Anyway, when we got there, it was my worst nightmare (at the time). I just couldn't bear it. My friend knew how I was feeling, and said if I wanted to go, she'd be ok, she could walk home, it wasn't that far, and her friend would be ok too. There were other people there that she knew too, she wasn't on her own, and she'd known it would be difficult for me.
So I left, with great relief.

Yesterday she told me that she'd been upset by me leaving, wondering if it had been because she'd asked me to pick up her friend, and that I'd been in a funny mood that had upset her. !!!

I'd thought that she understood perfectly what I was feeling at the time, and genuinely hadn't minded. But she had minded. Two years later she tells me!

It's made me wonder what else I've done that has secretly upset her!

So you see, there's nowt so queer as folk! Ring your friend, don't text or email, and tell her you're very sorry if you've upset her, but that you genuinely don't know what you've done, and that whatever it was, you'd like to make amends.

  • Oh, MU huge hugs. I have been where you are, I know how simply tired you feel. Remember what you have just gone through, you are grieving and your pain has likely caused a chemical blip. This will pass and things will stabilise. Keep talking to as many people as you can including here, we are all here for you. As you feel now will not be how things will stay, I am sure that you know it is very common to have a mood drop after a hypermanic episode. You will get through this and we are all here to hug and help you until you do. Please keep yourself safe and consult your doctor if you need to. More hugs.

Good morning all! A small nice thing happened. My teacher friend just had his next book published, it's dedication reads "For WaS (only my first name used), for always being there." How incredibly sweet of him.
