Tea, regarding the bills' change of name, I think you also have to contact them, to get the name changed to yours.
However, I wouldn't do it until he actually has gone, or the day he goes, anyway.

All the joint things are in hand (as I'm doing them). It's the arrangements for his new place that haven't even started yet.

Off to play with my new gadget now. I ordered a Breville Blend Active. I've so many recipes in mind but don't know where to start!

I don't have breakfast and I don't think I get enough calcium either, so I got it mainly to make some sort of breakfast shake. Milk, nuts, oats, that kind of thing. The thing that I'm not sure about though is don't you have to cook the oats first? I've read things about how they're not meant to be good for you raw, so now I'm confused?

Also, this protein powder stuff, is that meant to be good for you too?

Think I'll start with a carrot, orange and ginger juice!

Tea, it sounds like he's very much still in denial about things. I don't think it'll actually sink in until he's actually moved out.

Georgiegirl - I googled and there is loads about oats in smoothies. The consensus seems to be that you can use them raw or cooked. Dunno about protein powder, sorry!

Tea - yes, in denial. I'd be the same, I'm sure! Don't worry, he will sort things out in his own good time. You could suggest a dongle if he will be lost without broadband - if he buys a pre-paid SIM he could use it until BB is installed.

It's blowing a gale here! I hope it's not like that where WaS is, as I doubt birds will be encouraged to fly in these conditions :(

I don't think it'll really hit FOH until he runs out of clean underwear and has to do a load of washing! ;) It's a shame in a way that you were the one to keep the house really, Tea. Would have been much easier if you were the one leaving as you'd have had it all organised so much sooner! Hope his move goes well when it eventually happens.

Hope you've had a great time with the birds WaS! And well done for your walk out in the rain! I just had a wonderful moment driving back to work and it made me think of you as I think you'd have loved it; there's a big tree on a hill on my route to work and it's been covered in blossom that has just been blown off in all the rain and wind we're having today, so the road and pavements are covered in pink petals which is pretty enough, but as I was driving through it the wind picked loads of petals up and they were swirling all around me - oooh it was so pretty and surreal! :)
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

You don't need to cook oats. I make oat milk from oats and water.

You don't need a protein shake unless you use it for recovery after exercise or you have a diet that means you aren't getting enough protein in.

I also eat breakfast oats so you certainly don't need to cook them

Mmm drop scone, haven't had them in ages! I feel like baking now, but not a good idea when I'm trying to cut out all the crap!

I've done bread in a breadmaker but I don't think that counts :rotfl:

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton

Yeah, I read that, but I also read that they can give you gastro problems? Ah well, as most just say chuck them in, that's what I'll do!

This carrot, orange and ginger one I've just made is nice but abit too bitty for my liking!

Now to find out if this almond milk that I see everywhere has calcium in!
