Swain asked me if i wanted a drink yesterday, out of politeness i said no (despite wanting one)....then 5 mins later went and got myself one :o he told me i was being silly and next time if i wanted something don't be afraid to say yes, as he wouldn't have offered to get me one if he didn't want to :)
    Exactly this!
Ok, if you'd met for the first time, it might be different, out of politeness, but when people know each other, it doesn't apply!

WaS, you could ask WaSp to say: "If I were to put a meal in front of you, would you eat it?" Then, if you're not hungry, you'd say no, and if you were hungry, you'd say yes!

    Simples!

Similarly, re. a drink, snack, etc.

Or you could say: "I'm going to phone for a takeaway, what shall I get for you?"
I know you don't like using the phone, but that tells him you're hungry, but that you don't expect him to cook!

    Simples!

Tea, now that the forum is back to the 'proper' format, you might be able to find the skin options. If you do, change it from default and that should prevent the format changing suddenly again.

Pyxis - you are a genius! :D I have the skin options today, so have changed before it runs away again!

ETA: there seem to be a lot more options when looking in old style than in new style.

I'm here. The cold/cough thing turned into a grim sinusey thing and I ran out of sick leave and had to go back to work so wasn't feeling chatty.

Anyway, I'm the same as you guys about people making me stuff. DH and I have been living together for 5 years and I've only just started getting my own drinks from the fridge. We have to move in when work is being done on our house and I"m feeling uncomfortable about it already.

MU, I shan't skip over the dinosaur onesie. Does it have a head?

Yes, maybe they don't want people changing back!

Sorry to hear you've been so poorly Code, hope you're on the mend now. :)

Fab hair MU! I'm not brave enough to do anything to my hair, and too useless to actually keep it up if I did take the plunge! I have recently bought a long curly pink wig (for a fancy dress party) and actually love how I look with pink hair, wish I could go for it for reals! :)
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

A wig is probably the best of both worlds birdie - fab hair whenever you like without the effort (not that I'm saying your actual hair isn't fab too of course!)

Today's news.... FOH has found somewhere to live. To say I'm confused about the emotions that brings up is an understatement. It's available in a month's time, which is also when the solicitor reckons the paperwork for the house should be done. No doubt it will be the day that is the 4yr anniversary of us getting the house (which also happens to be the 2yr anniversary of our IVF +ve pg test.)

    (((((((((((((((((((((Tea)))))))))))))))))))))))))

Those date clashes are a bummer. :(
So prepare yourself for a real rollercoaster. If you anticipate one, it might make it more bearable. :A

Is there any chance you could invite a friend to stay for the weekend after he goes? That way, you'll have a focus, (getting spare room ready etc.) and also, the house won't seem so empty, plus you could arrange to do girl things and outings etc.
