    Hi all,

Well done on the job club SDW (v late, but well all the same).

Melly, after reading your thread, you deserve a medal! And def a special treat too

WaS, that sounds v annoying. It might be worth saying to the workmen to clean up, I'm sure their own supervisor or gaffer could get them to sort it - building sites are fairly strict about things being kept tidy!

Tea - lots of hugs, and Im sure you'll feel better once the break is completed. I'm very impressed at you coping so well with it, esp with still living together (for now anyway)

Lots of hugs / handshakes /spoons for those I've missed, memory of a watering can atm. Never know what's going to disappear or turn up!

So very annoying, had a good day, was going to bed happy and ready to sleep. And my back turns into screaming agony as soon as I lie down. Oh well, waiting for the codeine to kick in!

    Hi Dragonette

OH has arthritis of the spine so I can sympathise with your back, the stress has made his a lot worse (I have spent most of the last couple of weeks clicking his spine back into place 4 times a day)

We discovered by accident that a spin board is really good for stretching (I got me one had a brainwave and OH used it tonight)

Thank you for your kind words I don't deserve a medal a saint wouldn't get as angry as me. Lol

Oh I think they would! And actually, being able to carry on in the situation feeling the anger and still carrying on might be even more impressive :)

I suspect I have M.E or fibromyalgia, at least, nothing else has been found. Totally random pain is fairly uncommon though, i wasnt even that active today

WaS I really feel the parking problem is grounds for a complaint. After all why should you be put to parking expense when you have a parking place? Could WaSp not talk to the workmen, and if they don't shift the wood, then to the landlady?

Agree with this! I'd be sending a bill to the landlord, you shouldn't be out of pocket WaS!

Yep - another vote for complaining about the parking costs WaS. You expect a bit of disruption maybe while works are going on but you really shouldn't be out of pocket.

Morning all . Signed the first of the forms last night :). Got a huge form from solicitors to fill in today, then got lots of trips to mortgage people and solicitors. Am hoping to get that lot done after work. Had my whingy, feeling sorry for myself day yesterday, today is back to plan A.... new start, new life.

If all else fails, will look at pics of Aiden Turner :D.... time for the being human box set I think.

That is great that you could support each other. If they get some more volunteers is there something else you could do that you would enjoy. I think volunteering is great but I think you generally give your best if you enjoy it.

I volunteer at a local school, I love it and the children like the one to one, I help with reading and I have time to sit and chat about the book and obviously the teacher just doesn't have that much time. I feel sad sometimes when I get the little ones who aren't getting any help at home with their reading but I am happy that I can help them. They have home link books so you can see who is reading at home and to be honest it does show, the ones who get regular support at home tend to be the ones doing well, not always that straightforward but generally. I think reading is so important and although I am not helping with poverty now I think I am in the future as I hope being good readers will give them more chances.

I used to run a cub pack but I don't have the energy now so I have left that for someone younger and fitter. It wouldn't give me alot of joy now.

Thanks for your kind words. xx

The thing is, I signed up to actually be a Job Coach. I had to have a formal interview and three day's training at CAP HQ in Bradford, it wasn't just something to do with our church where I said 'can I help' and they said OK, it's actually a formal position for CAP, although it is voluntary. We are not allowed to coach unless we have been trained by CAP. We already have people to do the welcoming and see to the refreshments, we even have some 'specialists' like someone who used to work for the Jobcentre and knows how that works, and someone who is a CV writing specialist. So if I don't coach, there is not much else for me to do, and it is trained coaches that we need.

And I do think I can do it. It's just that it is out of my comfort zone and when I'm not feeling on top I lose all my confidence, I have to work at it. And I want to do it, I felt inspired when I first heard about the Job Club and knew straight away that it is what I should be doing.

I value being able to express my fears on here, and thank you once again for your kindness. Hope I have clarified.
