Hi Richard,
Thankyou,i will look out for your post or pm you.
Thanks again.0 -
My Dad stood over me & told me "I want you to leave". Never one to mince his words, my Dad.Sorry, but i have not read all the posts. But in answer to the question should my 18 yo son move out.
My reply if he does move out tell me how you got him to do it. I want my 20 yo son to move out. Somehow i dont think he will do in the immediate future as he lives rent free with me.
Seriously though, while few would argue with a grown man contributing towards his keep, I think the OR has a cheek to tell the OP how much the amount should be, given that the amount he expects (£75) isn't what's allowed for an adult member of the household in the trigger figures. I would have more understanding for his point of view if the figure was based on that, but it isn't. What's the OR saying - that if the OP only gets £20 from his son, & the OR thinks it should be £75, that he's going to penalise him in some way to the tune of £55 unless his son or he can show why he shouldn't/can't pay it? The son's finances should not have to be under the OR's scrutiny - he isn't going BR, his parent is. This smacks of an OR who's either judging the OP's situation, has an axe to grind, a target to meet or simply hasn't read his job remit properly. He needs time to catch up.BSC #53 - "Never mistake activity for achievement."

Really sorry Rog, but that did bring a smile to my face! My mother had to sell her house and temporarily rent a tiny flat to get rid of my brother (29:rotfl::rotfl:) and sister (24 :rotfl::rotfl:)...Now brother owns his own flat with all money going on a mortgage and sister lives with boyfriend and is having a baby!:starmod: I am not that savage :heartpuls But I am a Vixen :staradmin0 -
My first wife died at 33 and we had 2 kids early teens. Boy was a prob but he was "persuaded" to join the forces and did really well for himself. Left the Navy recently and !!!!!! me he's back home!! Can't get rid of them ever!0

Well, after being on this site for about 10 hours now,i have found some interesting things that could have been added if OR decides on an IPA
Pets- 25
Holiday-60
(as suggested by baab):T
Opticians-10 (wear contacts)
Home maintenance-25
School Trips/Activities-15
Pocket money-10
Kids birthdays/christmas-20
TOTAL-165
Is this realistic or would it just p!!! off the OR?
I am thinking of the situation of the OR calculations with 1 less person in the household and housekeeping being less for instance.
By the way i hope im not boring everyone with this now and sorry if i am but this is really stressing me out.0 -

There have been reports of pocket money, school trips etc being refused and accepted. It depends on the individual OR. My advice would be put them down and see.whitehartman wrote: »Well, after being on this site for about 10 hours now,i have found some interesting things that could have been added if OR decides on an IPA

Whitehartman,
What's really !!!!ing me off is the thought that you'll be burdened with an unreasonable IPA. I could say too much tonight so I'll exercise some restraint and post again tomorrow.
Never forget that the O.R's are agents of your creditors and as friendly as they are they are not friends.
