Hi guys, sorry if this is the wrong place to start with. I have kinda lost touch with all this reclaiming business, after having a baby and getting back to full time work getting online is hard to do.
Can anyone tell me where we are up to with the Test Case? I have been trying to reclaim nearly £4000.00 from Barclays for over a year now and have not heard anything from them or the court yet. I'm frightened I have missed my chance now!
Any advice is gratefully recieved
Regards Stef (really needing that money)

The judge is considering the ruling at the moment for the first case. No date when he will make his decision. There's still a way to go though. See here for some info:

Nationwide paid my claim in full (£2.2K) and cleaned up my credit history as part of the deal. Because I didn't pay anything to tackle my overdraft from the moment I sent off my first 'I want my charges back...." letter in November 06, they notified the CRAs of missed payments. I quoted the Banking Code at them which states that they have to put things on hold while a dispute is in place. They then cleaned up any info on my credit record within about a week (and made it totally clear!)Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!0 -
I currently have a bank charges claim with the county court. before i made the claim i changed my direct debits etc to a new bank account. i therefore haven't used the account on which i am claiming back charges for months now. can i close this account? Or do you need to the account to be live to continue with your claim and get money paid back?0

good evening. you do not need to have the account open if you claim. My bank closed my account as soon as they where notified of my claim. so the answer is go ahead and close the account,it is not worth getting anymore charges on an account if you have moved to another bank.:cool:0

Hi
Just sent my letter to Natwest claiming nearly £500 in charges. Have heard nothing after more than 14 days. In view of the court case - any idea on how how best to proceed now. The OFR website says the case is due January and seems a little out of date.
Many thanks
